Question

Why are some racers given enough time to change a tire and come back in to the race, while others are not?

Flat Time

Well the way I see it is, some people are ready incase they get one and others aren't prepared for how fast that three minutes goes by... What's your answer?????????????:D

my opinion????

I think last night was very unfair to every driver out there when Joey Montgomery was never let down off the push truck for his crew to change the tire! The first night in the modified class i had a flat tire and as soon as i pulled off the track they threw the green their was no "3" minute rule unlike their was last night with joey. I have always liked Joey but its not fair for everyone else when they treat him like that. I heard from an "official" that they said they were going green the next lap and CORY said wait one more lap the tire is going back on now. If he is going to do that for one driver he needs to do it for all drivers and not have any favorites in any class. Just because C & C racing Products is on joeys car doesn't mean he should be treated any different then ANYONE else no matter what class it is in. They sure didn't give the 16J (Kenny Kennedy) in the modified class 3 minutes last night to change a tire. They threw the green the lap after he pulled off the track and wouldnt let him back on.

There is NO 3 minute rule after there has been one lap complete! The rule now is that you can go off the track to the DESIGNATED work area for your class and if you can get the tire changed before they are ready to go green again, you can come back out. I know it isn't always 'fair' because sometimes it takes longer to get cars 'relined' after a caution so the amount of time one car has over another car always varies. Sometimes they stay in order and other times they get shuffled around. As far as the Joey incident last night (vs the Keith Burch incident) I did not see what was going on in the pits and I also don't know what Cory said or did. However, they did get Joey back to the pits much quicker than they did Keith. On the flip side though, a few years back the rule was that after 1 lap was complete you couldn't change a tire at all. At least now you do have an 'opportunity' if luck is on your side. Bad thing about the sprints is that once they are stopped they can't restart and get to the work area in a 'timely' manner. They HAVE to rely on a tow truck.

question also

While the questions are being asked. Why was Joey even allowed in the feature after he retaliated after the checkered in the dash on A.J Bruns. If memory recalls he was black flagged for the same thing a couple of years ago with Jimmy Hurley?

Now that Worley's Racing with the Outlaws does he need this help this year lol? I don't dislike Joey, never have. But I've said it a million times. Joey is to fast to need any BS help. But history repeats itself over, and over and over. Here's something to get excited about though, Steve Kinser is leading the points in the World Of Outlaws!

Everyone saw it, and knew exactly what was going on. In Joey's incident they went to him right away, wasted no time and got him off the track and up to the sprint work area. They also took thier time getting the other car off the track, and cleaning up the debry from the wreck. Now when Keith had a RR tired go down why wasn't he given the same treatmeant? They took thier time getting to him and off of the track. By the time they go him off the track they already had the lineup ready to go. Also I guess it's a mute point, Keith had a broken Jacobs Ladder so he wouldnt of been able to continue but still it just looked bad.

I have always thought the people on here complaining about the favortism towards Joey was just whining. But after last night it's pretty clear. Technically they didn't wait on Joey but they sure didn't get in any hurry either. My point is, if your going to do it for one, do it for them all. It sure would be nice to go back to the days of 20+ sprint cars, but with stuff like that I can see why alot of people don't wanna come here and run.

I love all the conspiracy theories concerning Joey. The Burch wreck was only his car involved, there are no courtesy laps for anyone. Joey and AJ's wreck involved both cars with AJ's car having to be towed thus giving Joey time to change a tire. People wouldn't have anything to post about if it weren't for Joey and the conspiracy theories or Worley and his illfated slide jobs. Tommy is an outlaw now, so I guess Joey and SFCR will be the hot topic the rest of the year. I see no one could quit bi--hing long enough to say nice job Jerrod Hull, Jimmy Hurley, and Joey Montgomery for putting on quite a show the last few laps.

congrats to Jerrod Hull on getting a feature win and joey for coming back and getting third. Really glad seeing tiffany and a.j. back at farmington.

Another question bout last night that doesnt seem quite fair to me. Im not picking on Joey, it could have happened to any of the drivers, but when he changed the tire and came back out and rejoined the race, he did start on the back of the field like he was supposed to, but he wasnt in last place cause there were a few cars that were lapped, like Dickerman and a few others, so so technically Joey should have been a lap down, cause those few cars got screwed by a car that was involved in a wreck. I cant figure that out, It doesnt seem right to me. Im not bashing Joey, he was hooked up last night, but it didnt seem fair that he finished third without passing those few lapped cars not even once. jmo:confused:

I normally don't get involved in these things, but I feel as if I really have to respond to this, seeing as I'm the one wearing the radio and giving the line up to the track.

First of all, there is no 3 minute rule. It doesn't exist, hasn't for a couple years. The rule is, like Crystal said, the car has to get to the work area and back out before we give the signal to go.

Joey got the car in and back out therefore he was able to come out. Oh wait, you're accusing me of giving him extra time? The only reason it took so long to restart that race was because the lap cars would not move into position after being told over and over where they needed to be.

When Keith had his flat, the lineup was correct. There weren't any cars that needed to be moved (or debris to clean up that I remember). Therefore as soon as they cleared the track with him we went green.

End of story.

Scoring goes back to the last complete lap. Even though the yellow was for them, they stay on the lead lap in the case. Montgomery was able to get his car running and continue. Those cars that were lapped do not make-up any ground as they were already one or more laps down on the last complete lap.

Thanks Mike. I was sitting here scratching my head trying to think of how best to explain that. You did a much better job than I ever could have.

I don't think they had to cover anything. There are some on here that only post to try and keep things going. They still wouldn't be happy if everything were done their way.

It been a loonnnnggg winter and boy I am really glad the season has started. Reading Blogs on here or about any other track is fun. I will keep my mouth shut because we race and one day it may be us getting bashed.

The only way joey is hooked up is behide a tow truck. And when he gets to the pit he needs his mink to **** on and a napkin to wipe the tears. All the rules should be the same for all classes not all different then people would know what the **** is going on. Every time joey get shoved on the track, his 4 wheeler that pushes him on to the track, how come they can sit in the middle of the track and watch the race while everyone else has to clear the track. I tell u every one gets down and kisses the montgermys ***. I guess if u get down and kiss cory's butt like joey does u can also get what u want and how u want. All the *** kissin needs to stop. Treat everyone the same way and don't say u do cause u know that is line full of ****!!!!! They also have their fav. on who the let jump the line first.
