(WHEERSBURG, OHIO) Wheelersburg, Ohio standout R.J. Conley notched his second straight feature win at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in nearby Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening, June 23! After posting the sixth quickest lap during the qualifying session, R.J. won the inverted dash to earn the pole position for the main event. He then led flag-to-flag in the A-Main to score the convincing $2,000 triumph over Jackie Boggs, Josh McGuire, Nick Bocook, and Mark Frazier. Hall of Famer Delmas Conley was also in action at PRP last Saturday. Delmas ran second in his heat race prior to crossing underneath the feature checkers in the seventh spot.

"Hot Rod" Conley took his #71r entry to the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio on Friday night and the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening. Both shows were headlined by $2,000 to win main events. At SOS, Rod finished fourth in the dash, but later suffered a flat tire in the 25-lapper, which relegated him to a disappointing seventeenth place effort. On Saturday at Florence, Rod encountered troubles in his heat race, but later climbed to second in the B-Main and ninth in the feature event. Full results from all three venues can be accessed online at www.southernohiospeedway.com, www.florencespeedway.com, and www.portsraceway.com.

All three Conley’s will join the cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series this Sunday, July 1 at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The popular national touring series will sanction a $10,000 to win, 50-lap showdown at PRP. R.J. Conley will be gunning for his third straight victory at the facility, which sits on the banks of the Ohio River. In addition to competing at Portsmouth on Sunday, Rod Conley also has plans of entering a similar $10,000 to win program on Tuesday, July 3 at the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio.
