MB Motorsports, of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, is pleased to announce Race Fans for a Cure® (RFFAC) will be onboard with its driver, Chris Wimmer, for the entirety of the 2004 season. Race Fans for a Cure® had already signed on for Wimmer’s previous two races in Martinsville, Va., and Mansfield, Ohio, and recently agreed to become a fulltime sponsor for the team.

“We’re very pleased to have Race Fans for a Cure® on our #63 Ford F-150 for the rest of the season,” said Wimmer. “The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is a cause we support enthusiastically here at MB Motorsports and we’re glad to join them in the fight against breast cancer.”

Since 2000, Race Fans for a Cure® has been spreading the life-saving message of breast cancer early detection at race tracks and racing events across the country. Thanks to the generous support of race fans all over the country, RFFAC has raised over $400,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in support of its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease through research, education, screening and treatment.

The personnel at MB Motorsports are familiar with the pain caused by breast cancer, as Beverly Mittler, wife of team owner/crew chief, Mike Mittler, is a breast cancer survivor.

“Having lived through the nightmare of cancer with Bev,” said Mike Mittler, “I know the good that the Komen Foundation has done for women and their families touched by breast cancer. For Race Fans for a Cure® to come onboard with us, it’s very special. I just hope we can do our part to promote this organization that has done so much to help so many.”

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1982 on a promise made between two sisters. More than 20 years later, the Komen Foundation is a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and educational, scientific and community outreach programs around the world.
