LAS VEGAS -- The Western Dirt Late Model have been added to the RaceRPM.com webcast line for the 2005 Duel in the Desert. With over seventy pre-entered teams from nine different states, this promises to be an exciting weekend of Racing at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“We just finalized everything this weekend,” stated RaceRPM.com owner Bucky Doren from the Cedar Falls, IA office. “In this day and age of racing, you can’t just show up. You have to make sure everyone involved is aware and approves.”
The RaceRPM.com Pit Crew will be on Friday and Saturday night with a live radio web cat both nights from the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Friday, November 4, 2005 will be a night of qualifying for the IMCA Modifieds. Coverage on RaceRPM.com will begin around 6:00 PM Pacific Time (8:00 PM Central). Saturday night’s web cast is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM Pacific as well and will feature the IMCA Modified last chance races as well as a full night of racing with the Western Dirt Late Model Tour.
“I talked to Sandy Bainton of the Western Dirt Late Model Tour last week,” Doren went onto say. “And she was were excited about this event, and she thought that our web cast would add another level to this event for the drivers, teams, and sponsors.”
This event for the WDLMT is a non-points event, but it promises to be a great night of racing. Bobby Hogge IV leads a strong field of Pacific Coast late model teams in to LVMS. Hogge finished out the 2005 WDLMT season by winning five of the last six races, and he looks to keep his winning ways alive. After all a $7,000 payday awaits the late model winner.
