MOTOCROSS AND X-TREME FREESTYLE EVENT TO BE HELD AT THE ILLINOIS STATE
FAIRGROUNDS MULTI-PURPOSE ARENA

On August 8-9 the Multi-purpose Arena at the Illinois State Fairgrounds
will be transformed into a national caliber Moto-cross racing facility
for the Inaugural Lincoln Land Motocross and X-Treme Freestyle
Challenge, presented by Track Enterprises, Inc. Hundreds of riders in over 20
classes of competition are expected to turn out and test their skill on
the challenging course. The event will feature several different age
groups and skill levels for Pro and Amateur riders alike. Everything
from “pee wee’s” to ATV’s to 250cc motorcycles will be hosted throughout
the weekend.

The event kicks off on Friday, August 8th with practice sessions
starting at 4:30 pm. Gates will open to the public at 6:00 pm for the Friday
event with final rounds of racing kicking off at 7:00 pm. The August
8th event will feature 125cc and 250cc Pro/Am classes of racing as well
as the very popular 50, 65, and 85cc divisions for the younger riders.

Things gear up even more for the Saturday, August 9th event with
practice and qualifying rounds starting at 1:15 pm. By 7:00 pm, the fields
will be narrowed down and it’s time to go racing once again with the
weekend finale.

Probably the biggest highlight of the weekend will be the X-Treme
Freestyle Motocross Challenge each night. Freestyle Motocross has taken the
nation by storm headlining events like NBC’s Gravity Games and ESPN’s
X-Games. And now Springfield will be able to see the action first hand
as several of the nations top riders pull out all the stops for the
2003 X-Treme Freestyle Challenge. Flying 80 feet through the air on their
specialized motorcycles, these daredevils pull off amazing aerial
maneuvers known by such names as the Nac-Nac, the Sterilizer, and the Heart
Attack. For the first time ever, the stars of freestyle motocross are
ready to heat things up at the Illinois State Fair on August 8-9.

Advance tickets for the Inaugural Lincoln Land Moto-X are just $5 for
kids (ages 2-12) and $10 for adults, adults are $2.00 more the day of
