A company I do marketing for produces a product that could help track's such as SFCR with water/ mud problem's. Cory, if you should read this and have interest please call me. I want to help. Sean Wolfe (618)925-4413

I am not sure how lime would compare in cost to what I can get. I hope to have my car ready by June 18th or so when the Monster Energy series is there so, I want to help get the track going. I figure that the ground's there are fairly packed from all the various vehicle's driving through week after week, year after year. This product is known to aid in reducing soil compaction and was originally produced for Ag use. The more compacted the soil become's,the slower it will absorb water. I would be SO excited to know I helped get the track going.

Sprinted...How many acre's do you think the pit's are there? Any thought's anyone? Wanna figure up how much of the product would be needed. :)

Maybe we should start pitting in the gravel grandstand parking lot and let the fans park in the pits.

Maybe it would help the confusion if track rep. were to come on here or somewhere and explain what's going on. So what is basically happening is the rain water is gathering, pooling up in areas in the pits, where it can't drain off? It's just kind of puzzling, if memory is correct...in the past it could rain on Friday, and if the sun was out on Saturday morning they were racing. There must be some new drainage issues

Call Cory and give him an offer to buy him out. Then the problem will be solved. The new owner can pave the pits or build a dome over the whole place and no more rain outs. What in the world did we ever do without internet. Hopefully this doesn't make anyone mad enough to through large rocks at me .LOL

I have talked to other people and they said at 1:30 the pits where so muddy that they almost got their truck stuck. Then I hear the reason that the pits are so bad is because of the new tractor pull area that the fair grounds put in lets the water run through the pits like crazy. So knowing they had this problem they need to tell fans what is going on and maybe the fans would understand more. The next thing is, this is not the first year for the tractor pull area. So why didn't this get fixed along time ago? And as fans we might want to ask the Fair Board to fix it, so it will stop raining out our races, or lets all get a shovel and dig a ditch to help move the water another direction!

You're keyword problem here is "I hear...."

Have you ever been to the tractor pull area? There is no possible way that water can run off from the tractor area to the pits. If you were to walk through the upper pit area going away from the track and toward the tractor pull area, you will see that just beyond the sprint pits, you will go DOWNHILL before you start up toward the tractor area. Look at an arial satellite image of the entire fairgrounds. The pulling area is south of the track. The ground is tapered downhill to the west between the tractor pull area and the racetrack pit area. No possible way for water to run from there to the pits. Walk up there and take a peek.

Now, there is a possibility for runoff to the pit area from what is now the new parking area for the 4H club behind the livestock arena, but if you think about it, that has always been like that up there. Just took out a few more trees and expanded that lot.

Now, i'm not posting this to try to take up for the track, because I myself think it was called too early, but I also understand how soft the pit area can get too. I work at another track and can see both sides here. ****s, but that's Spring in Missouri. Whatdya do?
