Racewidow to wear a chicken suit...

racewidow

I'm just drawn that way..
In a moment of weakness, I have agreed to wear a chicken suit all night one night at Fredericktown Raceway IF we are able to raise 500 pounds of food for the Madison County Food Pantry. Last year we raised 383 pounds and I believe around $300-400. My goal is to top that and hopefully blow past that the first night of the food drive.

We will start collecting non-perishible foods and cash donations starting the first Friday in June and will continue throughout the month.

If we reach that goal, I have agreed to wear a chicken suit all night at the track. I will run the tower in said suit and will be available during pre-race and during intermission for photos to be taken for small cash donations. (good ribbings will last a lifetime)

Wish me luck, I may just need it.

really you should just wear that outfit anyway. but to really make it worth while you should wear a sheep outfit.

No dear, the sheep costume is yours and should stay that way.

I should also add that Canterberry (track manager) wants to put me in a kart for some laps around the track in the chicken suit. I can see it now... feathers everywhere!!!

The idea is very good snd I am not talking about the suit. Collecting can food during these times is a good cause and the racing community needs to back this effort. Highland started it last year and as been good for the community.

The suit is also a neat idea. Thanks for doing it Racewidow. Have fun with the effort.

We did a fantastic job for our first shot at it last year. I'm so proud of our racing community. I had drivers bringing in donations and food and actually challenging each other to meet it or beat it.

Was hoping to maybe lure you down for the chicken suit event, Jack. Thought it might be a good reason to see your smiling face at the Rock. You're right, it is for a good cause. I'm kind of hoping the chicken suit idea will interest the local newspapers and maybe get extra exposure out of it. It may be a bit uncomfortable to wear it and I'm sure I'll get teased a lot, but it will definately be worth it! For all those who've said they'd bring enough to top the 500 pounds, I'm starting to think I set my goal too low.

For you, Art, 5000 pounds of food and lessons in how to hatch the egg!!! ROFL!!!! Although if you haven't seen me lately, I'm more apt to break the egg by sitting on it!! LOL!

She already did, but it did not come from an egg.

Don't know if she needs to go though the sitting on an egg to get donations. It sounds like it worked last year and will be bigger this year. Go for it Chickenwidow!!!!!!

Racewidow----last year My cars rolled out on the track with boxes of donated canned goods, from our race teams---will be glad to help you this year also...I will be sure to have my water type fire extinguisher, handy to cool you off ------oooooh--wet feathers,-------Jim

jrjunkman, that was a lovely sight - your cars coming down on the front straight with all that food. We are blessed to have people like you - all of you - who donated last year. I'm positive we'll reach the 500 pound goal this year and will try to top it again next year. Yes, keep that water handy, I may need to get hosed down - wasn't thinking - that thing will probably get HOT!!!

Chimmy - I'm working on getting you a day pass so you can come down and play, just so long as you leave the livestock alone.

I must've missed something - what does King Eddy do?

Run little chickie Run ! King Eddie owns several chicken stores ... Gussie says they are AWESOME ! He's a breat man LOL !

No disrespect to King Eddy!! I live down south away from civilization now, remember? Would love to try his though, our chicken place down here doesn't agree with our tummies very well. EEK!

I'm wondering (and this is just a thought - I have those sometimes) if maybe I should try to team up with I-55 if they might be interested and see if we can raise 500 pounds for their local food pantry and I'll wear the chicken suit there the next night. Considering it's a bigger track and there's so many more people, I'm wondering if I should up that to 1000 pounds. Hmmmmm. Then again, maybe I should stop thinking!

Racewidow in a chicken suit hehe hehe :D

Raaaaaaaaacewidow in a chicken suit .... Hum, there’s sure to be a great one-liner in this.

RACEWIDOW in a chicken suit … ohhhhh, what a smart-azz opportunity has been presented to me here.

Racewidow in a CHICKEN suit…. Ohhhh what a prime opportunity for some witty sarcasm!!! :D

Racewidow in a chicken SUIT!!! …. Ahhhhhh, well.

Good luck to ya’ll at Fredricktown Raceway in beating your goals in the food drive, and good job to Tracy for stepping up and “taking one for the team” for a good cause. ;)

Alright, alright, I hear ya, cng! LOL! Remember - it's for a good cause.

Sounds like doing this at I-55 is probably going to work out. With Jack's help last week, I met Mr. Marler and he is interested in working something out. Will be checking back in with him in a few weeks. I appreciate his consideration.

Al, keep all those beans and rice on order, we need 500 pounds for Fredericktown and 1000 pounds for I-55 to reach our goals.

Thank you so much to those who have offered to help with this and have either helped already or will be doing so in the future. I'll be hitting some of you up soon to get this all up off the ground.

Things in this world change so quickly and we never know if we are going to be the ones needing help, so I ask that if you're in the position to help those who need it now, please do so because we could be on the receiving end before we even know what hit us. Trust me, if you do help, it will come back around to you one way or another at a later time.
