Wow-wow-wow! I Stopped By The Benefit Tonight. From What I Saw It Has To Have Been A Big Success. To Be Honest, We Couldn't Get In The Door! The Crowd Was Huge. Talked With Gary Haynes And Gus Soutia A Second And Then Left. It Was Too Cold Outside...... :D

Congratulations To All That Made It Happen!

Michael's Benefit Dance

:) Wow what a Fantastic turnout, it was unbelievable. Thanks to everyone who donated and to all the people that showed up for Michael, Now i know how a sardine feels. Fanatastic time and great gifts it was just unbelievable. Thank you all. Jimmy

This is the best racing community on the face of the earth and it just keeps proving it year after year. I wish we didn't have to have these things but I'm glad we have the people that know what to do when one is needed.

As I have said many times.......I am proud to be a part of this sport, in this area, and those who support it.............as well as each other.

Congratulations to everyone who made this benefit such a great success.

Hey TTG!

The jacket that you donated brought in a "nice" penny or two----$200.00 worth!

Thanks to everyone who participated! It was a HUGE success!

Wow!

I just got off the phone with Mike (the father).

A little over $20,000.00 was raised!

Amazing!!!

A VERY BIG THANK YOU from the Coomer family. They were overwhelmed with the turn-out and the generosity of "strangers united for a cause."

On behalf of his son, he asked to thank ANYONE and EVERYONE for ANYTHING they did, no matter how much!

I arrived late too and only made it to the parking lot for a short time and spoke with a few of you. I'm glad everyone had a good time. I wish I could have arrived sooner and stayed later, but I had some stuff come up that prevented that.

Dirtgirl, Brandon, wackymac, IMPRESSIVE, Aries Plumbing, the Hardesty's and EVERYONE who had ANY part in this, THANK YOU!

Let's not overlook the fact that a BIG part of the success for this event lies with Jimmy D. I'm not talking about just posting information about this event, but for providing a forum that such good people can turn to for help. There is no doubt in my mind, that if it weren't for stlracing.com and all of the users of the site, this fundraiser would not have been near as successful.

This is just one event (out of several that I can think of) that was made successful due to stlracing.com and it's members!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

(These are not only my personal thoughts, it's what my phone conversation with the father consisted of - in a nutshell.)

I think the last few posts summed it up perfectly. It was a Good time had by our whole family!!! It was a Great occassion for our family to come together for the exact same cause. Sometimes it's hard to pull us all together at the same time. It's amazing when you find out who does and did what. Gus was telling Marty Heck (sportsman) about it the other night and he has known the family for many years and he indicated he sent a donation also since he could not be there. You even had Gary Haynes Racing making the donation of the Jim Edmonds baseball that went for a nice sum also. It reaches our racing community in more ways than one...... It's obvious we all know that we are VERY BLESSED...... And BLESSED we are. And I will continue to put our racing communities names as they come to me that donated because they should be commended. It was fun and you are right Jimmy I felt the sardine syndrome also!!!! But WOW what a turn out! LaLa hope you got the big chair you bought in the auction home.. Sorry we didn't have any room for it .... My car was full also :) And Mike ( Wacky Mac ) Nice Job as the auctioner!!! We were VERY Impressed...
Thanks again to all.....

Can we get a pass-the-helmet deal going on at al the local tracks on their first nights? Let us know..we all can organize something and be glad to help.

I'm glad I was able to help and wish I could have been there. Hopefully, the money will keep coming and now we need to focus on the prayers. Just another example of what happens when a community comes together to take care of its own.
