Reasons you won't go....

There have been many threads on what the tracks could do to improve attendance, how to bring bigger and better shows and so on.

Lets try this.

WHAT ARE REASONS YOU WON'T GO TO A LOCAL TRACK.

Favortism to drivers....example=track personel is friends with driver
Inconsitant track conditions....example=prepping track when no need to for features when the heat races were already racey making fast line grooves

I won't go to a track that is hosting a special and then adding 4 or 5 classes to draw it out longer.

no beer...no dirtboy lol !!! i agree on the special shows too. I believe mods and ss should be the only classes added to special shows but rotate em every special!!!

I generally don't go when they run 5+ classes. This includes special events with way too many support classes, as others have stated above. I like racing as much as the next guy, but I also like to get home at a decent time.

Low starting payout. As a racer, if I can't even cover fuel cost or a pit pass for showing up. I I just won't show up.

I think raising the start money for the lower positions , say 10th on back would help. Alot of guys show up and know they can't win or even run top 5.I think as little as 15 or 20 dollars would help a guy that may not be able to race week to week.. I know people will say that if 20 dollars is keeping a guy from racing, he shouldn't be racing, but i think that's the truth for alot of people.Another is get the show completed . Sometimes you may run into a power outage/ wreck , or even alot of cautions, but they need to get all the classes run .Running a class the next week totally changes everything about the race, and its outcome.

I know the reason people wont go to local tracks they get tired of the same guys starting front row in their heats and same winners in the features not bashing the fast guys at all they cant help having there equipment paid for and the best stuff money can buy there gonna win all the time thats why rules need to be inforced and set a motor limit not crate motors either thats boaring point blank study what you drive find something money cant buy beat em cover up what u find that works and let em wonder

I used to go to a race anywhere I could, and the last few years i usually dont go unless I am racing. 1. too expensive to get in 2. most of the time the races are boring 3. the races go on WAY too late 4. track conditions 5. the outcomes of most races are determined by money rather than talent and hard work

I raced about 20 nights this year, which is down from 50-60 nights. The only nights I went to watch were opening night Belleville, the photo billy 50, the 2nd night of the crate show at granite to watch the mods and mod mania. I find most classes boring, I only really watch modifieds, sportsman, and the only time i watch late models is if it is a big show.

Any combination of the following:
1. Poor racing
2. Not starting on time
3. Not running an efficient program
4. Running too many classes

bottom line not enough money or have to work a friday night in order to go sat hopefully this next year will be different

When flagmen and other track officials sit on their hands, encouraging torn up race cars. They made a black flag for a reason!

It's too HOT. The older I get the more I hate the heat. I have to work in the crap but I don't have to work on a car in the crap. Unless of course we've been fast......

I agree with racer1a . Make a motor rule so everyone is more equal and have a better chance of winning . I'm getting tired of watching the same big money motors win everything every week . That's why racing is so boring to watch most of the time . Skillful driving winning races is a lot more exiting to watch and will bring back more fans . That's the trouble with racing now a days .
