does anybody know what the status of this track is. i was just curious if they have been running a weekly show
 
i was just wondering cause there site said in 07 they were doing some work and gonna open back up so i didnt know what was goin on it sure looked like a nice facility
 
The last time I was by the track it still looked like it could be race ready at any time. I'm pretty sure that was in June when i was in Illinois. Every once in a great while there will be another rumor that Tony Stewart is going to buy it, but that's about like any of 100 different tracks at any given time.
 
I was just by the track a couple of days ago and it is in perfect shape. They keep it mowed and the track is worked every once in a while to keep the grass from growing in it. If they had to I think the track could be raced on by next week. It is too bad the place is just sitting.
 
that is without a doubt, the best racing facility around. that red dirt is fast, fast, fast. somebody dumped TONS of money into that place. what a shame.
