REmote Control Latemodels on Dirt

were do they race the late models and mods ?????
Not sure on the mods, but off of highway 13 before Williamson county airport there is a track that runs late models and is affiliated with a rc store. Have not been there ..... was told its on the North East side of highway 13 and 148 back towards Herrin.

There is a dirt oval R/C track in Maryville, ILL. and soon to be one opening in St.Charles, MO.

My brother has a dirt late model r/c car. He lives in the KC area and is looking for a close place to race it.

Most are converted from 1/8 th scale gas buggies through various after market parts companies . You can also go to custom works r/c . Either way plan on spending $2000-$2500 to get started . Some sprints and East Coast Mods are made from 1/10 th scale RC10's, RC10T's either gas or electric but you will still spend $1500- $2000(electric is quicker BTW). If you want to have fun you can get an 1/18 th scale RTR (ready to run) for under $200 . Spend some money on a Mamba brushless system and double the speed . You can get the Losi at Checkered Flag Hobbies in South County off Lemey Ferry Rd.
