Rescheduled UMP Summer Nationals Set For Farmer City Raceway on September 17th!

The 10th Annual LYNN Chevrolet UMP Summer Nationals race will be held Friday, September 17th at the Farmer City Raceway, Farmer City, IL.

This race is rescheduled from the original date that was rained out. The Summer Nationals series allows all of the local hot shoes to battle it out with some of the nations top touring drivers. UMP Late Model action will begin with qualifying and heat races as the best drivers in America race wheel to wheel trying to earn a spot in the event, along with the $10,000 top prize. Other racing action will include the UMP Modifieds and Sportsman division.

The 2003 LYNN Chevrolet UMP Summer Nationals top five feature finishers were: 1. Don O'Neal, Martinsville, IN; 2. Billy Drake, Bloomington, IL; 3. Shannon Babb, Moweaqua, IL; 4. Billy Moyer, Batesville, AR; 5. Roger Long, Fithian, IL.

Gates open at 4:00pm, time trials at 7:00pm, and the green flag drops at 7:30pm. Ticket prices are as follows, Adults: $20.00, Children 11 and under are free.

Friday's race will kick off a full weekend of racing action. After Friday night the action will shift to I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO with another $10,000 to win feature. The weekend will wind down on Sunday afternoon with the 13th Annual Turblo Blue Illinois Fall Nationals with a $12,000 to win feature for the Late Model cars and a $2,000 to win feature event for the UMP Modified cars. The two Late Model races will be co-sanctioned with the Stacker2 Xtreme race series and UMP.
