Long time race fan Bob Chandler (goatroper2) passed away in his sleep Saturday.

Funeral is tomorrow at Roger Atkins funeral home at 403 South Broadway, Salem, IL at 9:30 am

Robert A. Chandler, age 53 of Salem, passed away Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at his home. He was a tow motor operator at Radiac.

Funeral services for Robert Chandler will be held at eleven Tuesday morning, April 29th, at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem, with Randy VanAusdall presiding. Burial at the Paradise Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be after 9:30 Tuesday morning until the time of the service.

Robert Chandler is survived by his father - Bobby Chandler of Salem; his mother - Clara (Doty) Chandler; sister - Sharon Weems and husband Mike of Salem; nephew - Steven Sill and wife Bekki of Iuka; niece - Sharona Kleiboeker and husband Waylon of Iuka; great nephews - Chandler and Chance Sill; Ethan and Brenden Kleiboeker as well as by several cousins.

Robert Chandler was born on May 21st, 1960 in Salem to Bobby and Clara (Doty) Chandler, who both survive.
