Rib Crib is proud to sponsor Central Missouri Speedway’s Military Appreciation Race Night in Warrensburg on Saturday, June 23 with the Mighty Modifieds, ULMA Late Models, Street Stocks and B- Modifieds. All Active Duty, Reserve and Guard members with a valid ID will be able to purchase a grandstand admission ticket for only 5 dollars.

Race fans are anxiously waiting for the next ‘Big One’ at CMS. The Mighty Modifieds are just a week away from Tom Wilson Memorial BBQ Bowl on June 30th with a $3,000 to win 40 lap feature event. Drivers flock in from all over the Midwest to compete in this annual race. Drivers are reminded they will not have to pay the $100 entry fee if they have raced at least twice at CMS in the modified division prior to the special race. Fans will also be treated to a 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at intermission from the Browning Brothers.

The 2007 season has produced some of the best racing seen at CMS over the past several years with strong car counts in all divisions. The Mighty Modified points chase is tight with Sedalia’s Terry Schultz barely leading Joe Walker, Jim Moody and Aaron Marrant. The ULMA Late Model division is led by the 2006 Points Champion, Brett Rollert, but Steve Clancy is just 6 points behind with Brett Wood and David Angell closing. The Street Stock division has Brian Johnson at the front with Tammy Korff, Herb Danner, Chad Eickleberry and Brett Nail continuing to make this a competitive race to the finish. The B-Modifieds are led by Scotty Martin with new B- Modified drivers Michael Mullins, Ethan Issacs, Brian Ziegler and Phillip Bradshaw fighting for spots behind him.

You can now listen to a recording of the weekly CMS race updates along with driver’s interviews on KOKO 1450 AM radio’s CMS Track Talk on www.warrensburgradio.com at the audio archive page. Also listen to the Racingboys.com CMS web cast show on Thursday evening’s beginning at 7. For up-to-the-minute racing status call the track report line by dialing (660) 747-2166. Be sure to visit the track’s official Web site at www.centralmissourispeedway.net and check back often for schedule and track news updates as well as complete results and point standings in each racing division. Admission and pit gates open at 5, hot laps roll off at 7 and racing gets underway at 7:30. The track is located just four miles north of Warrensburg, Missouri, on Highway 13 and 15 miles south of Interstate 70 from the Higginsville exit on Highway 13. We look forward to seeing all of you this Saturday at the CMS high banks!
