Cleveland, Tennessee (10/17/17) – Riley Hickman doubled his pleasure over the weekend by piloting both his Hickman Manufacturing #R1 Capital Race Car/ Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model and Tucker’s Mobile Home Service #R1 CVR Race Car Crate Late Model to Victory Lane.
In fact, Riley emerged victorious in three of the four features that he entered over the weekend at Talladega Short Track.
“It was a pretty spectacular weekend for our team,” Hickman said. “I had a lot of fun getting to race with a lot of great friends and even some heroes – like Ronnie Johnson. The three wins were just the icing on the cake.”
Friday night found Riley Hickman in action at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama), where he was competing in both the Super and Crate Late Model divisions for the NASCAR weekend. Laying down the fastest time in a field of 42 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series entries, Riley earned the pole positon for the opening night feature. Leading flag-to-flag, Hickman cruised to his eighth win of the season and a $2,000 payday. Ronnie Johnson, Cruz Skinner, Cory Hedgecock, and John Owenby completed the Top-5 finishers in the 40-lapper.

In the Super Late Model ranks, Hickman outran the 24-car field in the 30-lap feature registering his ninth win of the season. Jason Hiett, Terry Smart, Austin Smith, and TJ Reaid rounded out the Top 5.

Returning on Saturday night to do battle against a field of 41 NeSmith competitors, Hickman locked into the pole position with the fastest lap overall in time trials. Holding off Grant Garrison late in the 50-lap affair, Riley Hickman streaked to his third-straight victory and 10[sup]th[/sup] overall over Garrison, Jake Knowles, Ronnie Johnson, and Cruz Skinner. Hickman was awarded a $2,500 payday for his dominant performance.

Later that night in a field of 37 Super Late Models for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned program, Hickman earned the 5[sup]th[/sup]-starting position for the NASCAR Weekend 40 A-Main via preliminary events. Breaking into a podium spot, Riley jumped up three positions to finish in the runner-up spot behind TJ Reaid with Austin Horton, Eric Hickerson and Ashton Winger trailing them across the finish line.
