RIP George Carroll

It is with great sadness I share with you the passing of George Carroll. George raced at Godfrey Speedway and many other tracks for a number of years, and promoted Godfrey Speedway three different times. Once with Bob Stanton in the late 1980's, again with his wife Kim in the mid 1990's, and was the last promoter when the owners pulled the plug on the track in 2005 & 2006. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Condolences to his son Josh Carroll and other family members and friends.
 
i have known the carroll's for almost 40 years,raced against george many times..it saddens me to hear of his passing..he was always a good friend to his fellow racers...lenny garson
