We send our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Jerry Clinton who passed away today. Clinton's book "Accept the Challenge" is a great read and tells of the challenges he overcame to become the great citizen of St. Louis that he was. He headed up Grey Eagle Distributing, supported Backstoppers through the annual Guns and Hoses benefit, helped bring football back to St. Louis, and was an avid sports car racer. Along with his two sons, Jeff and Brian, the Clinton family holds a unique honor in St. Louis Region history as being the only family in which all were honored with the Nischwitz Rookie of the Year Award. Jerry earned it in 1983, Jeff in 1988, and Brian in 1992.

Thanks to Jerry, Jeff, Brian and Grey Eagle Distributing the St. Louis Region and the St. Louis motosports community at large are better for not only their participation in our favorite sport but because of their extensive generosity.

With our deepest sympathies,
Eileen Waters and family

This a big loss to the St. Louis area and to charities that he started and supported. Sorry to hear of this and may the family move forward after this.

Jerry, Jeff, and Jeff Tillman are now reunited upstairs. I guarantee there was one hell of a party up there Wednesday night.
