RKR Motorsports ventured to KLMS on Friday night and after qualifing the #00 TE Motorsports, TMCI Transportation, Mid-Continental Fuel Rocket/RaceTek in the 2nd position, the track conditions were the deciding factor to load the car up and not risk the potential hazards of the track. With the track conditions as they were, a decision to head to Highland Speedway for Saturday nights action was made by RKR. The #00 Seubert Calf Ranches, Rick's Towing, PRC Rocket/RaceTek qualified once again in the 2nd position and won his heat race. Following that up with a 2nd in the dash, Randy was sitting outside front row on a one grove race track. Korte made the most of his starting postion and was able to bring home a 3rd place finish behind #78 Chad "The Bulldog" Zobrist and the #51 Mark Faust. All and all it was not a bad night at the Switzerville Speedplant. The decision was made final on Saturday night to run Tri-City Speedway on Sunday, the opening night for the track under it new owners G&G Motorsports. The new #00 Banshee Graphics, "Who the hell is Bruce," Turbo Blue, Penske Shocks Rocket/RaceTek lined up 3rd in the 4th heat and after 5 laps was pacing the field to the checkers. With a 2nd place finsh in the dash behind the #6k Michael Kloos, Korte once again had the outside front row starting postition for the main even. At the drop of the green, the RKR machine pulled out to the lead and never looked back, taking the checkers ahead of #50 "Special" Ed Dixon, #6k Michael Kloos, and #67 Mark "Mr. Smoothie" Oller. G&G Motorsports has done a wonderful job on Tri-City Speedway so far and look forward to the many improvements still in the works.
