(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) "Hot Rod" Conley took his first checkered flag of the
2006 racing season over the weekend at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio!
The driver of the Conley Trucking / Cornett Building Supply / Vinyl Kraft
Windows #71r Rocket / Draime Monte Carlo led all twenty-five laps from his
pole position to claim the $2,000 victory over Steve Shaver, Jason
Montgomery, Rick Aukland, and Mike Balzano. Delmas Conley, the patriarch of
the racing Conley’s, was also in attendance at K-C, but because of a lift
gate problem on his transporter, he was not able to race.

R.J. Conley invaded the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on
Saturday, May 20. After winning his heat race, R.J. drove his #71c machine
to a solid third place finish in the $2,000 to win event. R.J. struggled
early on in the event before his harder tire selection started paying off at
the end of the race. In only eight races this year, R.J. has registered two
victories and six Top Five performances!

“Rod has his car going pretty good right now,” stated R.J. via telephone on
Monday night. “There was a pretty stout field of cars at K-C last Saturday
night, so Rod’s stuff had to be pretty good to lead every lap with the likes
of (Steve) Shaver, (Mike) Balzano, and (Rick) Aukland there. We both had a
different setup on our cars last weekend and it seemed to work really well
for both of us. I just went a little harder on tires than everyone else,
but I was catching them at the end of the race. Unfortunately, I just ran
out of laps and ran third.”

Because of his youngest daughter’s graduation, Rod has made the decision to
forego the MACS Series races this weekend. He will instead attend
graduation on Saturday and then head to the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg,
Ohio on Sunday for a $2,000 to win Sunoco American Late Model Series race.
R.J. is scheduled to join his brother at the “Big E” on Sunday and will also
compete at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday, May
27. Delmas has an entirely different plan of attack this weekend, as he
plans on racing at K-C this Saturday and the Midway Speedway on Sunday. A
$5,000 to win unsanctioned event is on tap on May 28 at the Crooksville,
Ohio oval.

The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams would like to thank the following
