Rodney Melvin???

Haven't seen or heard anything about Rodney this year. Was wondering if he is racing or not?
 
hmmm..

just in the past couple of weeks he has raced at Mt. Vernon, Tri-City and I-55 Raceway..
 
He has been driving for Randy Korte in some of these races and that maybe why you did not pay attention to his driving. He was in the 00 rather than his 27.
 
Friday at TCS and Saturday at Mt. Vernon he was in the white 27 car owned by Lee Thomason.
 
He's gonna be running for Lee Thomason. Not sure of plans this Friday but sat he's goin to Mt. Vernon. He ran 2nd at tri-city Friday night and won at Mt. Vernon. He also has his own car but is just gonna keep it around in case.

I believe that he realizes that to be on the competitive level it takes to win and run the way he has ran in the past requires more than 1 car and 1 motor. He Does run the Summer Nationals every year so my guess is he will have everything ready and hit more races with both cars.
