Lebanon,Mo.-Beautiful weather and a Capacity crowd for the Holiday weekend found several new winners Friday Night at the LebanonMidway Speedway as over 80 raceteams checked in for racing action.

The SuperStock feature would have the crowd on there feet most of the feature as the long awaited showdown between two local area hotshoes Ben Newell and Tony Jackson Jr who was going for 3 feature wins in a row. With both drivers winning there heats and the pill draw coming out 1,everyone knew it was going to be a battle and it was as the field came down to take the green with a 13 car field powering quickly. On the start,Newell used a power move on the outside and beat Jackson into turn 1 to grab command with Jackson staying down low as newcomer Brandon Dunham was right behind them.Going into lap 2,Jackson pulled along side leader Newell and the duo went side-by-side as Dunham was keeping pace as Robbie Bryant,Jody Schaltz, and Gary Johnson were all battling for position. While Newell was leading at the finish line each lap,Jackson would pull alongside on the backstretch. On lap 7,the leaders hit lapped traffic while the race for fourth was tight as Tim Petty was coming from deep in the field along with Rick Brown challanging for position.Newell's good run went from great to bad as we got together with the lapped cars and cut down a right rear tire taking the leader out of contention. From there Jackson held off repeated challanges from the newcomer Dunham to grab three wins in a row.Following the lead duo in a wild last lap finish to the line was Tim Petty,Gary Johnson, and Rick Brown in the top 5 as front runners,Bryant and Schaltz both spun on the final lap.

The Modified feature would see Roger Boyd grab the early lead with Mike Riedle in heavy tow along with newcomer Don Luna.As the second year driver was holding to the top spot,3 time winner JD Kelley who had problems in his qualifying heat was coming from the 10th starting spot.On lap 3,Luna used a beautiful power move to the high side down the frontstretch to grab the lead as Newman was now making his pressence known and Darren Fullerton was coming up quickly in the pack.As Boyd and Luna continued this battle,Mike Riedle made contact with another car running for position and headed for the pits. JD Kelley now had powered to the front racing through the field and grabbed the inside lane of leader Luna.As this duo raced wheel to wheel,Newman had moved to Third and was closing fast.Around lap 8,The leaders made contact and both spun in turn 2 giving Newman the top spot as now Fullerton and Darren Vest were challanging for position. On the restart, the rookie showed alot of poise as he kept the high side line going strong while Kelley and Luna were coming through the field as now Reggie Jackson was cominh quickly.Kelley had moved into second on lap 14 and began his charge to the front. With Newman driving a perfect race,The yellow came out for a couple of cars in turn 2 allowing Kelley to close-up on Newman's bumper. On the restart,Justin showed he learned alot quickly this season as he kept his eyes focused on the straight and kept 2 cars length between himself and Kelley as the checkered fle with Newman grabbing his first career victory followed by Kelley,Reggie Jackson,Darren Vest and early front runner Fullerton.

The IMCA LateModels feature saw Kansas driver Conner Ward make the long haul in to race worthwhile as he 3-wheeled his machine to lead all 15 laps of the feature event in collecting over 900 to win this special show as Jimmy Greenway ran in second.Runner-up Burl Woods ended up being 40 pounds light at the scales and was dropped to the last spot.

The 19 car FactoryStock feature saw 2 time winner Tim Brown jump to the early lead with David Hendrix right on his bumper as Robbie Bryant was charging through the field along with Steve Price. With Brown and Hendrix battling up front several positions were being swapped in the pack as the 15 lap affair was looking good until lap 13 when last weeks winner Brad Gayer and Bobby Ratterree along with Ward Fredrick Jr all got together in turn 2.Front Runnnig John Gamble would retire out also. After unhooking those 3 cars,Brown would found Robbie Bryant glued to his car on the restart followed by Steve Price,Hendrix and now Tim Riffle. On the restart, brown shot to the high-side as the car drifted in turn 2 with Bryant powering down low and Price in tow as those three cars went side by side.Bryant would win the battle heading into turn 3 and claimed his first win at the Midway followed closely by early lead Brown,Price,Hendrix, and Riffle at the line.

The Bomber feature saw 22 strong take the green flag following 2 restarts as Sheldon Roberts jumped to the early lead with Dusty Rhoades right on his bumper along with Bill Roberts. As those 3 pulled away early, all eyes were on Carl Weaver after starting 20th on the grid, was coming through the field quickly.Up front,Roberts and Rhoades were battling for the top spot with Rhoades using a lapeed car on lap 6 to take control with Bill Roberts following in thord.Behind those 3,the race for 4th was tigh as Matt Haynes,David Bates,Larry Rifenburg,Donnie Jackson,Carl Weaver, and Cody Nivens were battling for position.Lap 11 would see Nivens fall by the wayside and one lap later,Bill Roberts went to the infield.Up front Sheldon Roberts was putting pressure on leader Rhoades, but Dusty wasn't to be denied as he claimed the feature win followed by Roberts,David Bates in his Enduro Station-wagon,Matt Haynes coming from 18th spot and Larry Rifenburg in his Enduro Racer.
