Paducah International Raceway will host the 2nd annual Faith Night featuring the Faster Pastor race.

Congregations from around Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois have been invited by Paducah International Raceway to watch their Pastors in the faster Pastor races set for Friday March 30th.

Devine intervention and faith in the racecars they will be driving along with the support of the congregation will be all they have to rely on as many of the Pastors will be driving a racecar for the very first time. In last years faster Pastor race, Brad Henson of Four Rivers Church, Greg Hill of His House Ministries in Mayfield, and Brian Nance, the Youth leader of Northside Baptist Church proved that they were the faster Pastors in their respective races. Fans watching their favorite drivers were on their feet as the Pastors zipped around the 1/5th mile track at PIR in Warrior cars provided by the PIR drivers of the Warrior division. All the drivers came home safely the same could not be said for a couple of the cars. Also racing on Friday night will be the UMP Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks and the wild 4-Cylinder Warriors. The Crate Late Models and Outlaw Mini-Sprints will also compete. The pit gates open at 4pm with the grandstand at 5pm. Racing begins at 7:30 pm.

The countdown will begin Saturday to the return of the World of Outlaw Sprint cars at PIR. 2006 Champion Donny Schatz, 20-Time WoO Champion Steve Kinser, fan favorite Danny “the dude” Lasoski and the best sprint car drivers the country has to offer will invade PIR bringing back the high powered winged machines to the speedway for the first show at PIR in several years.

Reserved tickets are just $30 and are on sale now for the World Of Outlaw Sprints. NASCAR Night I tickets presented by Harrah’s Metropolis Casino & Hotel are also available by calling the track at 270-898-SHOW (7469)

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the tri of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
