Rowland And Maggard Grab 1st Ever Midway Features On Double Points Night

Lebanon,Mo.-Not only did the temp. soar-up to 100 degrees on Friday Night,but Double Points night at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway produced triple digit car count as 104 teams checked into the pits with several new feature winners.

Action started-off with the SuperStocks as Donnie Gennnigs jumped from his front row spot to lead the early laps as JC Newell and points leader Tony Jackson Jr were intow.The battle for the front produced fast action as Gennings,Newell and Jackson were showing the fans side by side action.On lap 4,Jackson shot from third to first with a power move in turn 3 as Jody Saultz and last weeks winner Eddie Brown were coming through the field.Once Jackson got in front,Gennnigs and Newell waged a great race for second whole Brown moved around Saultz to gather 4th place.Jackson would hold off a late surge from Gennnigs to grab win number 4 this season as Gennings grabbed another runner-up spot followed by Newell,Brown,and Saultz.

The Modifieds again accept the Midway Challanges as 20 strong signed-in meaning 600 to the winner.As the field took the green, newcomer Chris Taboli grabbed the early lead with Keith Branson following closely along with Erik Maggard.Points leader Wayne Graybeal who started 11th was working the pack on the low side as Taboli and Magard went to battle up front as Jamie Ragland and newcomer Katyh Pierson were moving up the field.Lap 7 would see the yellow wave for Graybeal as he spun in turn 1 sending him to the back of the field.On the restart,Taboli and Maggard diced it up front again as all eyes were on Graybeal and Justin Newman.Newman had spun earlier in turn 4 and was coming quickly from the back.On lap 13,Maggard made the move to the high-side of Taboli and gathered the lead as Graybeal,Pierson,Newman,and Branson were battling for spots.Donnie Fellers making his first season start was charging also_On lap 21,with Maggard leading,Graybeal used a quick yellow for debris to challange leader Maggard as battle was on.Kathy Pierson put her racer into the third place honors moving around Taboli as Jimmy Willis was now battling for contention.As the leaders took the white flag,Graybeal tried a couple of moves,but Maggard held strong on the low side and took win number 1 this season in his first ever Midway Start followed closely by Graybeal,Kathy Pierson,early leader Taboli and Willis in the top 5.Maggard became the 6th different feature winner this season in Modified racing.

The Winged Sprints took the green with Eric Todd jumping to the opening lead with Joe Todd and John Rowland in tow.A quick caution for Chris Dake and Gil Johnson on lap 3,would see Todd grab the lead again as John Rowland now became the hotshoe as he began to apply pressure.Going through lapped traffic on lap 8,Rowland closed-up the gap on leader Todd and pulled a power move on lap 10 to grab the lead.JP Compton was moving through the pack quickly and began to apply pressure to Joe Todd for 3rd place.On lap 13 a yellow for sheet metal closed-up the gap and on the restart,The Warsaw Express Rowland would find Eric Todd hot on his bumper,but Rowland would find a greaat bite off turn 2 and held on to grab his first ever win on the Midway followed by Eric Todd,Joe Todd,Compton,and early contender Dustin Arnall.Rowland became the 5th different sprint winner this season in 6 races this season with the Winged Sprints .

FactoryStock action would see Bobby Ratterree grab the opening lead as Doug Rich would apply early pressure.Randy Berry moved from 6th to 3rd on lap 3 and was runnnig down the lead duo.Micheal Maggard was moving through the field as would Glen Dismang while the battle up front had Ratterree looking strong while Berry grabbed the runner-up spot on lap 11.Rich and Maggard were wagging a war for third as both drivers made contact in turn 4 ending there nights.This brought out the yellow as the running order was Ratterree,Berry,Dismang,Travis Hill and Danny Jones.On the restart,Berry applied pressure to Ratterree as they raced hard.Heading for the last lap,Berry moved inside of Ratterree and pulled even going into turn 3,but Ratterree held the line to become the 3rd different winner in the Factorystocks as Berry,Dismang,Hill and Jones rounded the top 5.

The Bomber feature again proved to be a feature well worth the wait as 24 strong took the green flag as 2 time winner Justin Stoufer grabbed the opening lead as Shawn Nations and Aaron York followed closely.With Stoufer in fornt,Scott Atkinson moved into contention from his 5th starting spot as this 4 pack pulled away.Last weeks winner Dusty Rhoades would bring out a yellow on lap 7 ending his night.On the restart,Stoufer and York battled again as Atkinson was moving quickly into third place.On lap 11 York moved to the inside of Stoufer and held off repeated challanges in grabbing win number 2 this season followed closely by Stoufer,Atkinson,Nations, and Missy Shaw as Chad Cromer took over the point lead with a strong 6th place finish while point leader Rodden fell out on lap 14.13 of the 24 starters finished on the lead lap.

Mini-Stock action had points runner-up Leon Fellers grab the opening lead,but Dave Williams would move around on lap 4 to record his 5th victory of the season.Following to the stripe was Fellers,Travis Pruitt,Tony Moore, and Ike Moore at the line in a wild event for the mini's.

Next Friday Night,July 1st the Speedway will celebrate the Independence weekend with a big Fireworks show at intermission and also will give away a season pass in effore to help the Relay For Life American Cancer Society.No increase in Admission as Gates will open at 5,and Racing at 8 PM.
