Rule #6

oem #

i know a few companies that can put part numbers on anything you want:

yep some of esslingers aluminum heads came with ford part #'s you could even opt for them on original equiptment.

working in the grey areas of the rules

it seems to me joe is not in direct violation of the rules, but rather working the grey areas. All the great teams do it, and all of them get caught. Remember what happen to tony stewert when zippy worked in the grey area, Zippy got kicked out for a few weeks.

so at your rams meetings try to make the rule change, kick joe out and youll see how many grey area teams you have, who won't vote to kick joe out or change the rules.

4cyl racing is so competitive. You have to get the racers edge how do u do it? By working the grey areas

"if your not first your last" Ricky Bobby
"its only cheating if you get caught" said some cheater a long time ago
"the winner is not always the driver with the best car, but the driver that refuses to lose"- Ralph Earnhardt

Working the grey area is not always a bad thing. Being in blatant violation of the rule is! The rule says it must be a production head not OEM, that doesn't give any room for running a made for GM, Brodix head. Of course, if one of your relations is the Tech Man, then I guess it don't matter!!!I just want to know what that head is supposed to come off of!

Don't matter who you are if its legal for one its legal for all. As a matter of fact as stated in the other post about rearends someone else has the same head besides my trucks. So take that crap some where else because it don't work. Just because you like to whine about something don't accuse me of showing favoritism.

I ain't whining, I am stating fact. You guys are residing in fantasy land! I want to get resonable thinking people to see how this class has become before trying to bring it down south! I like some of the aspects of this class and several people involved. If you can't get a better set of rules and inforce them then nobody wants that crap down here. And we can all start looking for a better class to run instead of the RAMS!

You don't remember typing "Of course, if one of your relations is the Tech Man, then I guess it don't matter!!!" Thats far from a fact but whatever you call that, OK then. And look where ever you want, I believe Doe Run already has rules your looking for don't they?????? And the 2 tracks don't share many cars anyway. Plus MCS is looking at what simple rules we want to tech anyway so hopefully wont have to worry about it next year anyway!!!!!!

Yes, I did say that and I meant it! The track down south in question is not DRR. Don't you remember saying that your heads are OEM, even though the rule says production? That means it is illegal, unless someone lets it slide. Right now I would have to say that the responsibilty lies with the officers and tech poeple, wouldn't you?

Why is everyone just talking about your truck ? Has it ever won a feature race ? Like Jammer said how many teams out there really want to get there so called legal engins teched. Do all these people complaining even race with the RAMS

It would have something to do with the fact the 2.5L is a Pontiac motor DUMB A$S. Do you not think GM uses the same motor in more then one of its brands. I think since GM put a Pontiac motor in a Chevy S-10 we should outlaw all these damn S-10s.
And as I said before the same thing is legal for everyone (there is or will be 3 of them running soon all compliments of ME) so take you crap some where else.
And I have 1 more PONTIAC Super Duty head for sale by the way $1,000.00 takes it!!!!!!!!!

I am buying a minnistock s-10 I got your # and I want to come by and look at this head you got seems like you figured out how to make the fords and chevys equal I will call you today after work.

If Pontiac Superduty-4 heads are found to be legal for RAMS then so is every other component manufactured with an automotive manufacturer's part number... be it a production part used for street vehicles or a part made specifically for off-road use. You will NEVER find a Pontiac Superduty-4 head on ANY car or truck SPECIFICALLY made by GM for use on the street.

That means ANY part having an automaker's approved part number will be OK to use in RAMS...some cylinder heads made by Esslinger Engineering, aluminum blocks made for Ford by Fontana Engineering, Kansas Racing Products blocks made for GM and Ford, etc. etc.

Ask yourself; Do I REALLY want to open that door???

correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Mel like the rams becuase we was self governed on the rules one less thing he had to worry about... (and pay for) so if MCS adopts your new 4 rules only will they still be rams or joe rumblers.... are you implying mel is dropping us? or MCS is adjusting our rules???

MCS is not adjusting any rules nor am I implying anything. They are not MY 4 RULES (thanks for the compliment of what I might sword I must carry to control Mel, MCS and Trashdog though) but merely I stated what Mel SAID he thought about the rules and Tech. As a matter of fact Trashdog himself even confirmed this (we were talking to Curt check with him about this very issue Saturday night).

Who Is Leading This Organization ?

HE SAID, SHE SAID, TRASHDOG CONFIRMED  In my opinion ( and i do have the right to voice mine ) There is too much information from everyone but the President ! Nobody wants to hear everything from " the middle men " Im very surprised at the way the RAMS is being run this year. Last year when i was an officer, Trashdog was VERY active and worked very well with all the officers and for some reason now that he was elected as the President, he TOTALY disappeared ! I stood behind the fact that Dog was running for President, from his actions when he worked with us. Im NOT bashing anyone here, just stating that Trashdog , as the RAMS PRESIDENT, needs to be doing the communicating to all about the RAMS and what is going on in the organization. And that hasn't been done since the beginning of this term. Sponsors, outsiders, or just viewers of this website probably dont even know who the President actualy is ? LeaDonna : RAMS 2004-2005 Treasurer & Secretary
