Dudes lucky the car went sideways and avoided a direct head on hit. Not to mention if he would have got just a tad more air.

I was actually in Ohio and on that same highway when this wreck occured... traffic was tied up for hours in both directions... I ended up taking a bunch of back roads to get me back to Cincinnati... when I got home and watched the news on TV... I understood why the interstate was closed in both directions. Makes me wish I would have waited it out to see it in person... (I know that's kinda harsh, but we ALL looks at wrecks when we get the chance). And this kid was from the very small town of Mason... which is where I was staying/working... and eventually/possibly moving to. It was weird hearing all the kids at the different places I went to talking about this wreck. From what the news stated that evening, he wasn't being chased by Police at the time of crash and they were not sure what he was doing. The kid was pulled over by Police approx an hour and a half prior to the crash and he was in possesion of a small amount of weed and some alcohol, however he did not test positive to be under the influence of anything during that stop. He was given a ticket to appear in court for the possession charges. The news made it very clear that he was NOT being chased prior to the accident and that he had passed a sobriety test during the traffic stop. It was not made clear as to why he was originally stopped when they found the weed and beer.

They interviewed the cop that caught the thing on his dash cam... he was off-duty and headed home for the day and just happened to have the camera rolling.

The news made it appear that the kid was distraught over the earlier stop (as well as some other problems he was having with his girlfriend) and made it look like the wreck may have been intentional (due to some statements the kid made to his friends in the time after his traffic stop and before the crash).

I hate permanent solutions to temporary problems...

I hate permanent solutions to temporary problems... man you got that right I lost a family memberfrom my girl freinds side a couple years ago

i think if he was a dirt racer maybe he could have controled the slide and not hit the guard rail

I read that he wasn't running from the cops when this happened. He had been pulled over earlier in the day, and was having lady troubles. Some wonder if he was attempting a permanent solution to a temporary problem. The cop that caught this on his dash cam was off-duty and headed home...was just in the right place at the right time.

he was caught with an underage girl with drug paraphernalia apparently in the morning and then this occurred later in the day if i read about it correctly
