We are ready for a fun night with DOUBLE FEATURES for the SportMods, Bombers, & Hornets. Along with the Gateway Vintage Cars and a Demo Derby $500 Winner Takes ALL! Come out and join us for a fun night! Don't forget the Nickel Race! I am told there are going to be a few kids that will take home a extra special prize along with their nickels! ; ) $10 General Admission & Box Seats, kids 10 and under are always FREE!
Grandstands open at 5pm and Racing Starts at 6pm!

The Nickel Race and Frozen T-shirt contest will take place during intermission!
 
KUDOS to Highland Speedway, we had a great time tonight at Highland! The Gauntlet race was coolest, just wish there had been more cars to TAKE OUT the van..! BUT it was a FUN race to watch! I have seen them on TV before, it was cool to actually watch one in person! It was also awesome for the 2-seater vintage cars to give the kids rides around the track! My grandkids loved to be able to ride with their Grandpa! Made their night! There was a total of 15 with us tonight, we brought kids tonight that had never seen a dirt track, they LOVED it! I knew that attendance would be low due to the REAL race cars not being there tonight... BUT let me tell you what, the real RACE FANS that came tonight saw one heck of a show! What I saw tonight brought back great memories of racing that was truly entertaining, Took me back 30 years to what real local racing was all about!

At the end of the evening, I explained to my Boys about what a demolition derby is, and they both looked at me with this confused excited look. They had a blast.
The races definitely had some excitement to them also.
 
Agree with you both!! Our kids had a blast, they loved the Gauntlet race too! Thanks Highland Speedway for a great evening for the kids!!

Adam... Make sure you take them to the County fair next month at Highland! They would love the Combine Demo Derby!, but you have to get there EARLY the grandstands are usually filled to capacity!
 
We would like to thank everyone that came out to the Highland Speedway for a fun night! Knowing that everyone enjoyed makes it fun for us!

We would like to thank the Highland Speedway for donating the nickels for the nickel race! There were some lucky kids that got some Quarters that were donated in memory of Rick Zobrist and a special thanks to Hamel Coop Grain Co for donating the prizes for the special colored nickels!! Thank you to B-Wet, B-Dry for putting on the frozen t-shirt contest and prizes!
