I will allways remember Ron (Big Ron) as a guy who was a friend to everyone that he met. He was like a big teddy bear and would make you smile anytime he was around. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lyons family.

Ol' Buckwheat :)

Ron was the type of racer who just wanted to have fun, something a lot of us forget about when it comes to racing. Any chance Ron had he was out there with all of us. I remember the last time I saw him at the races he stopped me and he had pictures of a bunch of our cars and was having people sign them, the picture he had picked and wanted me to sign wasn't me, so I told him I'd have to bring him one and unfortunately he wont be here next season for me to do that.

No matter who you were, Ron could strike up a conversation with you, make you laugh, and encourage you. He was a great guy and too young to leave this world. This coming season, our hearts will be heavy for him, but we will race on and in our hearts, race for him!

Race with the angels now buddy,
We will miss you!

Very sad to here this about Ron,no matter what craziness was going on at the track Ron always had a smile on his face and would talk to me or Justin like he had known us for ever.Ron was truly one of the good guys!

Ronnies layout/wake will be Wednesday from 2-9 at chapel hill in cedar hill. His funeral service will be Thursday at 10a.m. also at chapel hill.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lyons family, I didn't know Ron very well, but what I did know is that racing was in his heart. This was my first season at pevely and Ron was always giving me advice, trying to help out, thats "what he did",one of the nicest people I have ever met.
