schrader and wallace pill draw?

I like to see the Nascar guys come to the local tracks since most race fans would not get the opportunity to meet these guys. Most of them are very nice and give a lot of credit to the fans.

I do agree that these guys should race from the back and while they should "race" should not try to win.
 
I think its great for the big guys to come to the local tracks. It pulls in more people to the track, and it gives many fans (especially kids) an opportunity to meet people they probably would never get a chance to meet. I also think if they want to race, they should be able to. They should be treated just like anybody else on the track though. I like to think that it was just a fluke the pills they drew. I know that I am an optimist, but I just don't think the track would take the chance on doing that (setting it up I mean). As far as the winnings, they should be able to do with it what they want. It's a very nice gesture to donate it back or something like that; give it to their charity or whatever. But, it is their winnings, they should get them. Maybe they could just come and sign autographs and run some kind of exibition race or something, but I'm sure some drivers would like a chance to race right along side of a cup driver just to see what they can do. These of course, are just my opinions, and you know what they say about opinions.....
 
well i think it is really good that these guys take the time out of there busy lives to come and race around the local areas.they dont have to mess with that anymore.they have nothing to prove.they do it for the same reason everyone else does,because they love to do it.its not for some little friday or saturday payout.they dont need it.dont take it as an insult that they want to come and race take it as an honor and go kick there a@@ on the track and tell your kids or grandkids that you raced against and beat some of the best drivers in the world.as far as drawing and starting spots.as long as they follow the rules as everyone else then who cares.no i dont think they should just run an exibition race or just sign autographs.if you want my opinion i would rather have a tire rub from either one of them rather than an autograph any day.the moral to the story be glad you got to race with them,be glad they care enough to show up and promote the local tracks and most of all when it comes, tell everyone that you beat them on the track.
 
Isn't the pill draw for I-55 out in the open? All the world has to do is be at the pit shack when the gates open and see the pill draw for yourself... :)
And anybody and everybody has the right to race at anytrack. :)
You are only as good as the people you compete with. :)
And they spend alot of money as everyone else does to get their car ready and have it hauled to event to event. $$$$ Maybe the pay will cover that ROLMFAO !!! NOT !!!!!! :D
I was not there but if you ever feel the pill draw is hokey then sit and watch it.... ;)
 
I agree dirtgirl! All these people are complaining about speculation. I've seen these guys race from the back before. I've seen them get good draws too. Just so happened this was a night where both of the NASCAR guys did good. Obviously it's not cause they ran good, it's all about the pill draw. I say BS!!!! Even if they did get the spot without a draw they had to stay there and beat the best our area has to offer. Seems they earned what they got and the fans, the ones who knows what good racing is about, got a good show. My opinion, take as you want it, is if you don't like things the way they are do as dirtgirl mentioned and sit and watch the draw. Hell, video tape it for all I care. But please, for the love of God, just drop it until you have proof! Not just hearsay.
