i heard schrader has released tom hessert as driver of car # 52 dose anyone know if this is true?

Maybe he is gonna put his nephew Joey walsh in it...since Joe has years of racing experience !!!!

pretty sure the only requirement to drive for schrader or any team for that matter is a large check book, talent has very little to do with driver selection these days

There is quite a bit of truth to it really if you have financial backing alot of it some teams will take a guy who has less talent remember at that level it is a buisness. I may be wrong but I do not think it was a shot at anyone mentioned above.

Just look at Paul Menard...they came right out a few years back and said they only reason he got a ride was his dad was gonna sponsor!!!

Sure, there's ride buying in all kinds of motorsports...my reply was in response to this post: pretty sure the only requirement to drive for schrader or any team for that matter is a large check book, talent has very little to do with driver selection these days

that was going to be my example also it was rampant in indy cars when the irl split guys that never sat in an indy car was racing the indy 500.

If I remember correctly, a car owner mentioned earlier rented a ride to get a foot in the door at NASCAR. I don't think money and or sponsorship is the only thing , but it sure doesn't hurt. Then the talent or lack of will come to the forefront regardless.

Not saying this is the case for KSR, but it has been made public knowledge in the past that there is a lot of pay for rides in the top levels. Just for example Josh Richards is one who has done this and there are others from dirt doing just exactly that. I wont release the other two drivers names for they have not made it public. It basically comes down to money sense when being in the top racing sanctions. Whether it be a wealthy family or if you can bring sponsors to a team which in return means money being spent on a car and team. Now for Tyler .... the kid can flat out drive anything he straps into and I do look for him in the near future to be in one of the top 4 in racing. Starting out in Arca then moving up to Nationwide .... from that point the future is in his hands on making it to the top level of Sprint. He does have the talent and for sure the sponsorship backing it takes to make it work, only time will tell on the rest and I wish him goodluck on his dream.

is he currently a latemodel driver? or a usac driver?
If you are asking about Tyler he is currently a late model racer in the lucas oil tour driving the number 11 sponsored by broken bow records. He has drove several cars though, I first saw him when he was 12 or 13 driving a mini sprint in the powri races.
