Scott Weber in-car video including Martintoni flip

thanks for agreeing it wasnt bobbys fault and scott should have made a point to go over and at least say he was sorry in my opinion thats poor sportmanship if it was bobby that did it at least he would have said sorry

Ok i got an interesting private message. First off.........Bobby M wasnt fast??Please. Second...you would have punted him way before Weber did??So your saying its ok to punt people in front of you to get them out of your way? What class you run in...as you say your a driver??Because last i read...hitting somone to get them out of the way is not acceptable. Third....know my role??Its called an opinion. Yes it wont be agreed upon by 100 percent of the people. I get that. Noone's opinion ever is...wanna talk politics.....lol??? Dont like the posts.....move on. Ive already gotten alot of poeple supporting what ive said and i think im kinda spot on actually. Racing deal......yes. Poor sportsmanship...yes. If Weber would have done this to Bobby M would this have went south??Yes....and we would need a shamwow for the crying.

Im all for anyones opinion and i would never tell someone...know your role. Thats like 6th grade crap. Everyone has an opinion and i truly dont care if it doesnt agree to mine. I know what i saw. Seen what i seen on the vid. As a fellow ex racer........this is my conclusion.

Just curious why Scott should appologize, for racing hard and taking his line??? He didn't do anything wrong...

I never said he did anything 100 percent wrong......i said he should have went to Bobby and at least said....hey man.....sorry that happened. Never said or will say he should be sorry for what he did. Thats his issues he has to deal with personally. If it were me....i would have felt like someone tore out a kidney. I love racing..........but id rather hurt myself than someone else.

First off, Scott was in the infield being tech'd until the races were almost over, so how could he have gone to say something to Bobby? Second, why would he go say anything to Bobby after Bobby's crew came over and threw the roof at Randy's car? Why they threw it at Randy and his crew is beyond me. Now that the video is out, most people are changing their tunes to say it was a racin deal.....why would Scott say anything to a team that showed pretty poor sportsmanship first?

That was just GOOD hard racing. This is a true example of pick a line. You can run the groove that Bobby was running when no other car is around. By watching the video, other cars were running the top , middle , and bottom lines only. I enjoy watching both Scotty and Bobby so I am not picking sides. If Bobby's crew thru the roof at them I can't blame them for not discussing the incident. That is POOR sportsmanship. Besides this whole deal should be between Scotty and Bobby, NOT his pit crew or any of us setting here behind our computers.

Only explanation I can think of is he wanted to send Bobby for a ride. It worked…
OR maybe he wasn't expecting Martintoni to drive over his hood..**** if he would've known that he probably not only would've let off the gas, he probably would've just turned down into the infield so he wouldnt have got hit. I guess that's what you guys think he should've done...?

BM never changed his line, I don't think he knew weber was under him or he probably would have left a line for him. And weber could have easily avoided hitting him, been in the same spot as him and have never ran into them even if they deserved it. Picking up the trottle is not trying to avoid hitting someone in front of you. I still feel like it is a bad deal, but I also feel like it could have been avoided.

Did you watch and listen to the video closely? Weber let off the throttle @ 4:40 and got back into it @ 4:42, just before impact when Martintoni was sideways in front of him. All I’d expect Weber to do is hit the brakes instead of the gas. Being pushed under power like that is probably why the flip was so violent.

Lmao! Yea u guys are right, he was entering the corner in the middle (had to bcuz weber was under him and I just watched the vid) sliding down to the bottom at mid corner then drifting all the way back up to the top on exit and it was webers fault for gettn into him. Geesh. Last post on this one. Get well soon BM

I would guess he got on the gas to turn the car with the rear steer just like every other corner that was on that video. If you watch the video real close, you can see the 48 car raise up also at almost the same instance. They both knew where the other was. The 48 knew Weber was there and tried to pinch him off a little bit. Weber had a good run and wanted to get to the bottom first. It's called hard racing. Get over it haters on BOTH sides.
