Scout Night plus Midwest Big Ten Late Model Series and Kid’s Club at Macon Speedway!

Macon, IL – Macon Speedway will be hosting their annual Scout Night for Boys & Girls. There will be a Pinewood Derby at 1:00 P.M. open to all children. This weekend will also be round three for the Midwest Big Ten Late Model Series as Macon, Jacksonville, and Shepps Speedway’s team up to offer Late Model drivers a $10K point fund for 10 races. Scout’s and Leader’s will be allowed in FREE if in Uniform. Parents will be admitted half price with a child in Scouts uniform.

Macon Speedway’s Kid’s Club will also be meeting this weekend for Pizza & Ice Cream and a chance to vote for their favorite race car driver. The kids will also race their Bikes at Intermission in front of the fans.

Come see Brandon Sheppard, Kyle Logue, Steve Lance Jr, Jeremy Nichols, Mike Hammerle, Chris Dick, Roger Brickler, Jim Moon, Terry Reed, Joseph Hughs, Ethan Schnapp, Ryan Little, Shane Tomlin, Tommy Sheppard, Brian Diverly, John Beck, and more battle it out this Saturday for the Big Ten Late Model Series.

Current Top 10 in the Midwest Big Ten Late Model Series points are Brandon Sheppard -118, Kyle Logue –114, Steve Lance Jr -102, Jeremy Nichols -102, Chris Dick – 100, Brian Diverly -88, Mike Hammerle -88, Roger Brickler -86, John Beck -74, and Jim Moon -74.

The Big Ten Late Models will race on May 22nd, June 12th, July 17th, and August 28th at Macon, August 6th at Jacksonville, and June 6th, July 18th, and August 1st at Shepps.

This weekend will be the fifth edition to Macon Speedway’s “Best Fan in the Stands” sponsored by All Service Racing Parts and Sheet Metal, located on Damon Ave. across from Firestone. “All Service Racing Parts is your only All Star Performance dealer in Decatur”. A lucky fan will win $100 this week if their name is draw from the box after the Modified feature event. If the Best Fan in the Stands is not present the prize money will roll over into next week’s prize. Macon Speedway will also be drawing an extra 50/50 ticket to give one lucky fan a ride in the Macon Speedway 2 seater Late Model driven by one of Macon Speedway’s local drivers.

Saturday night’s schedule will feature six UMP divisions, including the Midwest Big Ten Late Model Series, Modifieds, Touchstone Energy Sportsman, Street Stock, Pro Hornets, and Amateur Hornets. The UMP Late Model winner will take home $1200.

Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September. With many fan favorite events on schedule, including three “Night of NASCAR Stars” nights planned and the famous Herald and Review 100, UMP’s premier Summer National event, 2010 is stacking up to be a memorable year. Macon Speedway where every Saturday Night we race gates will open at 5:00 and racing will start at 7:00. Adults are $15 and kids 12 and under get in for free with a paying adult, for the special Big Ten Late Model event.
