Server upgrades this weekend for STLRacing.com

STLRacing.com has been in need of a server upgrade for a while now. I've kept putting it off because it has been running fine and it is such a pain in the rear to get done.

However, this past weekend she got put to the test and she rolled over and croaked for a big part of Saturday afternoon...lol..

The current server is about 5 years old and we all know how much technology has improved over those years. For the same cost of the current server, I can get one that is about 20 times better now.

With the ugly forecast for this weekend, I've decided to go ahead and get it done this weekend.

It is a tricky ordeal moving over an active FORUM. There will be a period of time where some of you will be hitting the old server and some of you the new server. So a few posts may get lost and a few of you may experience some brief issues.

Also getting the move this weekend will be many track/organization websites including:
highlandspeedway.com
i55raceway.com
tricityspeedway.net
sheppsspeedway.com
lakeozarkspeedway.com
fayettecospeedway.com
dirtcarump.com
pcralatemodelseries.com
americanlatemodelseries.com
findaracetrack.com

There will also be many driver and other websites moved as well.

So be patient this weekend!
 
How long do you think it will take so people have a better idea of when things will be a little normal. Remember weather and tracks racing or not will be a big issue on Saturday.

I agree you do a great job with this site and keeping people informed lots of racing info on here! I know the new server will be great thanks alot.

Any truth to the rumor that DirtBoy would be left on the old server?
