what are the steps for getting something re certified, such as a shatter sheild? we are building a vega drag car and are wondering how you recertify parts through SFI.

From what I know your best bet is to contact the company that made the scatter sheild and talk to them. Some items can be re-certified, some items cannot. If you send an item in and it wont re-certify then they dispose of your item and you will have to purchase a new one. I have never re-certified anything myself but this is how it was explained to me.
