yep its all about survival anymore. I drop in here on occasion to see whats happening.Hope Rick has some luck with the track this yr. I like Charlie but' Fri. nights at Browns town is a little tight for me. Flora is out of the ? and Highland is only on occasion.

I know alot of ppl dnt care for Rick Heck but im here to tell u he is a ture racer.I think rick has done alot for us at mt vernon and all over the local area.If its possible i know the vern will be open and we will have our mod there racing i love that track and always will.and rick if ppl cant buy beer there let them bring there own in jmo.And rick i would really love to c burwell in one of ur latemodels lol.

You danged rite Rick has done a LOT for Mt. Vernon ! How much money you think he spent on food alone?? You do not get that size without lots of food & you know his time is spent in Mt.Vernon JUST JOKING :D LOL sorry Rick couldn't help my self.

Cool

Keep the ball rollin', Rick. Would really like to see the track open. Probably needs beer to be successful though. I know the people I can get in the grandstands would multiply.

Seen

Seen on the local news i guess the property the track is on got annexed into the city? Tax tif ? maybe hope you pull it off Rick need Flagman call Dad lol

Just a question for all you race fans? Now why is it most of you thing they need to sell beer at a sporting event? That means more drunks on the road, more loud mouths, more fights, more trips they are going to make to get beer and a pee brake and the more times your going to get walked over and probley get beer spilled on you. JMO

Beer

Just seems like beer helps. Considering the limited tracks I have raced at, Belleville, Highland and Tri-City all fill the stands. Flora and Mt. Vernon have not in the past. I can't explain it.
I would race and/or watch racing without beer (though I do indulge when the racing is over). I also have a lot of friends that enjoy beer on the weekends and are probably not big enough race fans to sacrifice enjoying a few beers just to watch racing. I certainly can't speak for everybody, just the people I know. JMO
Mt. Vernon is close to home and a fun track. Would like to see it more than survive, but thrive.

It's called PROFIT something a track has to do to stay opened.

can't wait for the vern to open and hope to see all classes run and not just a few sellected ones and even be out on the track but can't happen without a ride and without the ride its not easy to hold to that determination to win or be a top runnings.

Quit selling beer at the Cards game or Rams game and see what hell gets raised. There is absolutely nothing wrong with adults enjoying some adult beverages. The key word being ADULT, drink responsibly and respectful.

Do you think there are people who don't go to a track with no beer sales??? I do. Not selling beer isn't helping keep drunks off the road. They will just go somewhere else and drink. Then that's just dollars the track is missing.

Well Rick have they dropped that hoops low enough ta get thru yet?? Looks like they got a few they want ya to jump thru. GOOD LUCK would be nice to see the track up and going again.
