Funny thing,I mentioned that to a customer at my shop yesterday.I said maybe Tubby still has his car together,motor or not.If he is truley retired,then push him onto the front straight and let the fans see the great legend.Make that night a yearly thing as long as racing is around,we all love tubby,that's for sure.I think a Tubby Black night would make him proud!

You have my vote as well . Tubby is a true LEGEND at this track ! I have said that if Jeff Mills was still here there would have been a story done of Tubby on his retirement and to give Tubby the recognition he deserves in the " DRIVERS SEAT ". Tubby and his wife have been supporters of this track for MANY years and i to think they deserve some attention. TUBBY BLACK NIGHT !!! LD

Tubby definitely deserves a special night.I thought he looked pretty good sat. night.The track has been good to Tubby i feel.But more would be good.Tubby would probably still get out there if he could get a clean bill of health.them darn ol' doctors.What do they know??? lol

That would AWESOME!!!! I remember a story my ex-mother-in-law told me about Tubby. It was probably about 10 years ago or so, she had a picture of Tubby and her husband when they both first started racing. She took it over to Tubby's pits to show him. He was just climbing out of the car and she handed it to him when he said "wait a second, I gotta get my glasses, I can't see a thing without them"!!!!! Guess he'd been racing so long he didn't feel he needed those glasses on the track!

I also agree that there should be a special night for Tubby.It's the least the track could do for all the years of racing that he has put his heart and sole into,not to mention the countless young racers he has help throughout the years,including my son.I hope this will become reality and give him the recognition he deserves.
