Knoxville, IA -(January 26, 2004) by Bruce Neimeth - Knoxville Raceway and Speed Channel have reached agreement to broadcast the 11th Annual 360 Nationals Sprint Car event on Saturday, June 19, 2004 from 9 to 11PM EST. The event will also enjoy at least two rebroadcasts.

This year's 360 Nationals will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 11 & 12, at Knoxville Raceway and will feature top Sprint Car drivers and teams from across the USA. According to Ralph Capitani, Director of Racing, "The 360 Nationals features the rules and specifications that over 100 race tracks across the country follow for weekly and special events. In addition, a number of local and regional series use the same rules. The racing is always exciting and competitive, and during the season many of the top names like Terry McCarl, Gary Wright, Travis Rilat and Danny Lasoski will join the action somewhere across the country." Capitani added, "Tony Stewart won his first winged Sprint Car event in a 360 in 2003."

The 360 Nationals becomes the 3rd TV broadcast from Knoxville Raceway in 2004. The event will join the live 44th Annual Knoxville Nationals on August 14th and the new Stacker2 Xtreme National Finals in mid-October. As part of the 3-race package Knoxville Raceway will "brand" the facility as the "Short Track Home of Speed TV".

Knoxville Raceway's decision to produce and broadcast the 360 National, beginning in 2004, is based on their continued commitment to promote and support the growth of Sprint Car racing at all levels. According to Tom Schmeh, Executive Director of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum, located outside turn 2 of the Knoxville Raceway, "NASCAR has been able to build the Busch Series to a level of importance that draws the top drivers in the Nextel Cup Series to compete and visa versa. We look forward to this being that next step in the continued growth of Sprint Car racing. Just as more and more drivers from the USA, Australia and New Zealand compete in each others home tracks under varying rules, the real winners are the fans every where".
