I don't see car counts at I-55 getting any smaller this year. If anything, I look for car counts to increase somewhat. :D
 
I don't see how allowing the Emod tires would have helped that much. The tires we use are the same ones they use at I-55 and Farmington..

AS A MATTER OF FACT I KNOW MAISEL WOULD BE COMPETITIVE AT F-TOWN. HE CAN WIN ANYWHERE HE RUNS. THE FACT IS WITH HIM, IS THE SAME WITH ME. OUR MOTORS AREN'T LEGAL THERE. HE HAS DARTS HEADS ON HIS ALSO.

VORTECHS ARE JUST AS GOOD AS THE DARTS WE RUN. THE DARTS ARE JUST MORE DURABLE TO ABUSE. REASON BE, VORTECHS ARE STILL A STOCK HEAD.

I've known Maisel to have a few tricks up his sleeve going back quite a few years. It seems that things haven't changed a whole lot, huh! :D
 
crazyfan, i have been to i55 many times i didn't think i was knocking them that bad. and i've seen many cars get beat up there too, and yes they do run a smooth show. i think mcs does as well. i'd like to make it to f-town this year just to watch if anything . i talked to hammerle about it he seems to like it and thinks its pretty racy.
 
Hey 21rocks, I know I-55 has its share of pile ups, what track doesn't. I just feel the quality of cars and the way the weekly program is run is the best in our area. Fredricktown and SFCR put on a decent show for the car counts they have. I just don't think either track could handle the car counts that I-55 has every week. As for as competition, yes there are a few cars in all classes that can come to I-55 and be competitive, but I've seen a whole lot of cars come from both tracks to I-55 that aren't even close to running up front at Pevely. I guess all of us that have been going to I-55 for so long are somewhat spoiled. :cool:
 
one more question

why don't somebody use a hard tire rule? most area tracks can burn up softies in a couple of nights. the hard ones cost the same last longer and won't take as much motor. just an idea.

I don't know.... That would fit though judging by the questions he asked..... Can you spell "teardown" or would it be "tear-down."

YOU ARE CORRECT WITH THAT ONE. LADY LUCK ALWAYS SEEMS TO FROWN ON HIM THERE. CASE IN POINT THE SPORTSMAN NATIONALS. BUT, I THINK THIS YEARS SHOW MAYBE DIFFERENT. LAST YEAR HE WAS THE FASTEST CAR AT ONE POINT AND WAS LEADING IT LATE UNTIL THE "KNOWN TIME BOMB" THAT CAME WITH THE CAR, GAVE UP!

I' AM NOT SURE WHERE I SAID ME AND MAISEL WERE RUNNING I55, BUT WE ARE NOT. I AM RUNNING TCS, AND STEVE WILL BE RUNNING TCS, GODFREY, B-TOWN, AND ANY OTHER PLACE WHERE THEY PUT UP THE $MONEY$.

AS FAR AS RALPH JOSEPH GOES. HE WILL NEVER SEE THE INSIDE OF MY MOTOR. UNTIL I55'S MOTOR RULES ARE LIKE OTHER TRACKS LIKE TCS, MCS, GODFREY, HIGHLAND, I WOULDN'T RACE THERE. I DIDN'T PAY ALL THIS MONEY OUT JUST TO THE BEST ENGINE BUILDER IN THE AREA, TO GO DOWN AND RIP IT APART FOR SOME "GENUIS TECH MAN" TO GAWK AT BECAUSE OF SOME DUMB@$$ RULES. OUTSIDE OF THE HEADS, MY PIECE IS COMPLETELY ALLIED LEGAL. THERE ARE THOSE AT PEVELY WITH JUST AS GOOD OF STUFF AND BETTER. THE ONLY ONE TAKIN' IT APART WILL BE THE GUY BUILDING IT.
 
WELL IF YA' WANT TO GET TECHNICAL, HE HAS WON AT PEVELY. JUST NOT IN THE CURRENT TYPE SPORTSMAN/STREET STOCKS. HE WON SEVERAL TIMES IN THE OLD STOCK BODIED STREET STOCKS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, HE WON AT THE NATIONALS(WHAT IS NOW THE PEPSI NATIONALS) ONE YEAR.:p :D

BTW ......ARE YOU GONNA HAVE A SPROTSMAN SETTING AROUND THIS YEAR? OR DID YOU SCRAP THE IDEA?
