A late afternoon rain forced cancellation of last weeks events,so the action should be even more exciting as the chase for the championships are tight in all classes.
Competing Sat night will be the high-horsepower of the USRA Modifieds as defending track champion and current point leader Jackie Dalton tries to get back into the winner's circle as lately Erik Maggard of Springfield seems to have the hot set-up.Webb City hard charger Mitch Keeter is always in the hunt and is looking for his first win of the eason while riding second in points.
The SportMod class has seen 8 different winners this season as Joplin's Billy Street sets on top of the standing while a tight battle for second including Roy Maynard and Mike Hailman lurk in the hunt as another big field of SportMods is expected.
The Legends have really been bringing the car count up and the level of competition as Park Jones and Jason Rayle are deadlocked in the standings as the class has been providing 3 wide action all season long.
The return of the LateModels to the weekly show should provide plenty of action as Jeremy Manes holds a narrow lead over Adam Brown and a good field of cars is expected as the Show-Me Series has this Sat night off.
the Bomber Class is rebounding in car count as the competition level is strong and several drivers are returning from family vacation time and are getting serious in getting to the winner's circle.Robert High leads by a very narrow margin over James Redus going into this weeks action as drivers are coming to challange the racy,Quick-Quarter in preparing for upcoming special events.
Gates open at 5 in the Grandstands while pitgates open at 4.Drivers meeting will be at 6:30 with hotlaps to start at 6:45 with Racing action starting at 7:30 sharp.
Adult admission is only $10 in the grandstands with kids 6-12 $5 and under 6 Free.
This Sat Night will also feature the popular spectator Drags as the track will not be Racing on Aug 8th as a truck and Tractor Pull will be in action.
The Raceway is preparing to host one of the USMTS Hunt Chase races on Thursday Night Aug.13.
