Batesville, Arkansas (June 12, 2005) – After almost a one month hiatus, the stars and cars of the Stacker 2 Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) will roar back into action as they prepare for a tripleheader through Tennessee, Missouri, and Illinois this Friday through Sunday night.

With seven events in the books Wendell Wallace currently leads the Stacker 2 M.A.R.S. point standings. Jack Sullivan (Arkansas), Terry Phillips (Missouri), Jeff Floyd (Arkansas), and Gary Stolba (Missouri) round out the current top five in series’ points and will all be looking to try and make up ground in the point’s chase this weekend. Justin Wells continues to maintain a slim advantage over Dane Dacus in the Rookie of the Year standings. Other drivers expected to possibly be in attendance at the weekend’s events include Steve Rushin, Joey Mack, Bill Frye, Jordan Jones, Chad Broach, Peyton Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Brandon McCormick, and many more Super Late Model Stars of the Midwest.

Night #1 of the triple header will find the Martians invading the ¼ mile oval of Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tennessee for the 3rd Annual Hoosier Topless 40 paying $3,000 to win on Friday, June 17th. The event will be unique as the racer's will be in action minus their roofs, allowing fans to see inside the cockpits of the cars as the super late model pilots wage war on the 1/4 mile oval. Hometown racer, Jamie Elam, scored the upset by picking up the feature win at Memphis in the season opener back in April. The pit gate opens at 4:00 with spectator gates opening at 5:00. Hot laps are 7:00 and racing starts at 8:00. General admission tickets are $15 for adults. Children 12 and under $5 (Age 5 and under free). Pit passes are $25 for ages 12 and up and $15 for children 6-11 (Age 5 and under free). Memphis Motorsports Park is located at 5500 Taylor Forge Drive off of Fite Road between Highway 51 and Raleigh-Millington, seven miles north of I-240 near Millington. The first Stacker 2 M.A.R.S. event held earlier this year at West Plains Motor Speedway was a thriller with Wendell Wallace taking the lead from Jack Sullivan in turn three on the white flag lap to take the win. Sullivan and the rest of the tour regulars will be looking to dethrone Wallace this Saturday night. West Plains Motor Speedway is located 6 Miles South of West Plains, MO on US Highway 63. Gates will open at 5:00 with hot laps at 6:30 with racing at 8 pm. Adult admission is $15, kids 7-11 are $5, and 6 & under are free. Pit passes are $30. Night #3 of the triple header will find the M.A.R.S. competitors traveling to Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois for a Sunday night showdown with the U.M.P. Super Late Models on June 19th. This will mark the only visit of the 2005 campaign to the Illinois speedplant, and the first time that the Stacker 2 M.A.R.S. tour has gone head to head with the U.M.P. Super Late Models. The standard Stacker 2 M.A.R.S. tire rules will be in effect with the UMP LM40 tire also being allowed for this event. Tri-City Speedway is located just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO in Pontoon Beach, IL. Take exit 4 off I-270 and go 1/2 mile south on SR 203 .
