It’s been a busy past 5 days for the Stage 8 family of Drivers as they started with the high banks of US 36 Raceway in Osborn , MO then down to the scenic views of Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon , MO then off to the long haul to Lernerville Speedway in Butler , PA. It was an up and down swing for most of the drivers. Here is a breakdown of each driver;

Randy “the Hurricane” Hannagan – Penthouse Magazine, Pocket Shot, Stage 8 Locking Fasteners, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, K&N Filters Terry Hannagan Racing #1X Maxim

Hannagan began on a good note at US 36 Raceway in Osborn , MO by timing in 15th quick and finishing 2nd in his heat which would transfer him to the Dash. In the dash Hannagan would run 3rd and that is where he would start the 40 lap feature. Using the low line and staying consistent in a race that was filled with cautions yielded Hannagan’s best finish of the season, 7th.

At Lake Ozark a late draw would yield to a 19th place qualifying effort. In the heat a tight race car would put him 8th and in the “B” main. Hannagan would start 5th and move to 4th the final transfer position and into the feature. He would start 19th and stay low and fast for a finish of 11th just out of the top ten.

The long trek to Lernerville would see the Hurricane time in 21st. In the heat starting 6th he would quickly jump to 4th and into the transfer for the feature event. He would climb to as high as 11th before battling a loose race car and bring home a solid 15th place.

“The best thing is we were consistent in all of the races.” Said Hannagan. “We had some help in Missouri from Mike Woodring and he showed us a few things. We had some late draws for qualifying but the car raced great and felt great. It is good to have some momentum headed to a tough place like the Grove. Our motors are hitting well and I am looking forward to kicking some Posse Butt!”

Chad Kemenah – ArizonaTools.com/Stage 8 Locking Fasteners/Media Camping Centers/K&N Filters/Banshee Graphics/Hampshire Engines #3X Maxim

Kemenah looked forward to getting to US 36 where he posted a 5th place finish last season. Unfortunately that would not be his luck this year. He timed in a solid 8th and would finish 4th in his heat race an automatic transfer to the feature. Kemenah would be strong in the opening laps but a mechanical problem rose it’s ugly head and relegated Kemenah to a 22nd place finish.

At Lake Ozark where Kemenah holds the track record in qualifying from a few years ago with the All Stars, the 3X maxim would time in 14th and finish 6th in his heat relegating him to the “B”. Kemenah would run away and hide, winning the “B” and transferring to the feature. In the feature he would start 14th and scratch and claw his way to a solid 10th place finish.

Lernerville would not be so kind to Kemenah as a late draw would yield a disappointing qualifying effort of 36th and a finish of 7th which would put him into the “C” main. He would win the “C” easily and start at the tail of the “B”. Kemenah would climb as high as 10th but would not transfer to the feature.

“It started off well but some things just popped up we did not expect.” Said Kemenah. “It was great to get the top 10 at Ozark but we should have had one at 36 and at Lernerville we were just off all night long. I like Williams Grove and we always run well there and hopefully we can continue that and get two top 5’s.”

Justin Henderson – Jolt Energy Gum/Fatheadz.com Eyewear/Stage 8 Locking Fasteners/America’s Best Value Inn/Focus Factor/Motul #D1 Rocket Chassis

Henderson who just missed a top 10 last year at Osborn had high hopes going to US 36 Raceway. He would start the night off by qualifying 19th and finished 8th having to go to the “B”. In the B, Henderson would start on the outside of the front row and sail onto victory. In the feature he would suffer a broken rocker arm in the motor and be relegated to a 25th place finish.

At Lake Ozark a track Henderson has not raced at he would time in 26th with an ailing motor. Before the heat the team changed the motor and Henderson would finish 8th and move to the “B”. In the B from the 7th starting position Henderson would climb to 6th and transfer to the feature. In the feature battling a rubber down track and tight race car Henderson would finish 22nd.

Lernerville would be a bright spot for the young driver from Sioux Falls , SD as he would time in a solid 13th and win his heat in impressive fashion moving him to the dash. He would start 4th and finish 5th where he would start the feature. Henderson would stay in the top 10 all night long and during the closing laps on a very dry slick track finish 12th.

“Man we have been having some rough luck.” Said Henderson . “Our motor gave us fits at US 36 and Ozark and we were just off at those places, Lernerville we were right on just a few mistakes by me cost us a top 10. We will take it and it gives us solid momentum heading to Williams Grove. We learned a lot about that place last year and I am confident we can and will race well there this weekend.”

Jason “the Hitman” Martin – NOS Energy Drink/Fatheadz.com Eyewear/Stage 8 Locking Fasteners/AutoLoader/Speedway Motors/Permatex/Amsoil #36 Maxim

Martin headed to the high banks of US 36 Raceway looking to rebound from a tough past couple of races. He would time in 25th quick and finish 8th in his heat race and have to run the “B”. In the “B” while battling for the transfer spot he would be caught up in an accident that would end the evening.

At Lake Ozark the Hitman’s luck would turn around. During qualifying the nose wing would collapse and Martin would time in 23rd but in his heat race he would make a last lap pass coming out of turn 4 for a 6th place finish and transfer to the feature. In the feature he would start 21st and use the low line around the track to bring home a solid 15th place finish.

Lernerville would see the Hitman battle engine woes through out the evening. It would start in qualifying by timing in 24th and in the heat would really begin to shut down as Martin would finish 9th and force a run in the “B”. The crew would work on the motor and thought they had things fixed when it would ultimately give out in the “B” in the opening laps leaving Martin to finish 16th.

“What a tough couple of weeks we have had.” Said Martin. “Jason and Mike gave me good cars and we were in the transfer and got caught up once again in something not our fault. It’s a long season and there are stretches like this, you just have to put it behind you and go on. The Grove is a tough place but the thing that we benefited from was that we kept good notes and know what we need to do. I am optimistic for some top 10 finishes.”

Dion Hindi – RealTruck.com Automobile Accessories/Stage 8 Locking Fasteners/Hazardous Sports/ButlerBuilt Professional Seats/Rod End Supply #11D J&J Chassis

Hindi who enjoyed good success last year at US 36 Raceway was optimistic about his chances this year. Hindi would start the night off qualifying in the 27th position and finishing 7th in his heat. In the “B” feature while battling for a transfer position he was caught up in an accident which finished his night.

Lake Ozark would see Hindi battle a faulty ignition and tight race car. He would qualify 27th after he was unable to participate in hot laps. He would struggle in the heat race and finish 10th and move to the “B”. Hindi’s luck would not get any better in the “B” he would finish 8th and look for better results at Lernerville.

Lernerville would see Hindi qualify 5th fastest out of 47 cars. In the heat he would finish 6th and have to run the “B”. In the “B” Hindi would run a strong second and move to the feature. In the feature Hindi would battle overheating in the motor and be forced to pull off before any damage could occur for a finish of 28th.

“Luck has not been kind here lately.” Said Hindi. “I was really sick at US 36 and then at Ozark we had a gremlin in the ignition. Lernerville we showed some muscle and then we had a motor that was getting hotter and hotter. Williams Grove is a tough place, we had some good runs there last year and I am looking forward to going back there and get some top tens.”
