(Macon, IL) NASCAR Night at Macon Speedway is an opportunity for fans to not only meet NASCAR stars, but to see them compete on the 1/5 mile dirt oval against their favorite local drivers. Memorial Day at Macon Speedway will be an event to remember with the Northern All Stars Late Model Series, UMP Modifieds, and a star-studded cast including Clint Bowyer, driver of the #07 Jack Daniels NEXTEL Cup car, Kevin Harvick, driver of the #29 Shell/Pennzoil NEXTEL Cup car, Ken Schrader, driver of the #21 Little Debbie NEXTEL Cup car, and Kenny Wallace, SPEED TV Announcer and driver of the #78 Furniture Row NEXTEL Cup car.
Rusty Schlenk is the current points leader in the Northern All Stars Late Model Series. A highly competitive field of Late Model drivers will be competing on May 28 for $2,000 to win. UMP Modifieds will be racing for a top payout of $600.
Advance reserved seat tickets are on sale for the May 28 event. All grandstand seating will be reserved and seats are $25 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. No general admission seats will be sold. Pit passes will be sold the day of the event for $35.00. Tickets can be ordered by calling 217-764-3000 or 217-764-3200. Gates to Macon Speedway will open at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 28. The first 500 fans to enter the Speedway will receive a cap courtesy of Jeg’s. Autographs will be signed between 4:30 and 5:30 on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. Cars take to the track for time trials at 6:00 and the first heat races will roll at 6:30.
