Inside Line Promotions - PORT ROYAL, Pa. (Aug. 21, 2018) - Trey Starks will have a new race car ready for four Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions events in Central Pennsylvania this weekend.

The Gobrecht Motorsports driver is scheduled to compete on Thursday at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville; on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg; on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown; and on Sunday at BAPS Motor Speedway in Newberrytown.

"We're going to some tracks we've had some luck at," he said. "We've showed speed. If we can put everything together I think we can do well at all four tracks this weekend."

Starks is coming off a hectic weekend. He had planned on joining the All Stars for a trio of shows in New York, but races at Utica-Rome Speedway in Utica on Friday and at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown on Saturday rained out.

"We were past Port Royal when they cancelled on Saturday," he said. "We had to turn around and come back. It seemed like we were chasing races all weekend."

Starks invaded Port Royal Speedway for twin heat races, in which he placed sixth both times. That lined him up 18th in the A Main.

"We drew the middle of both heats and we just didn't do well enough to pass cars," he said. "It had rained so there wasn't a ton of passing, but we weren't as good as we needed to be. We got the car pretty good in the feature. We only got to run five or six laps, but we picked up a handful of spots and were up to 11th or 12th. We went into turn one and I was maybe driving too hard. I got into the wall a little, which ended up tearing up some stuff."

A broken right front spindle led to Starks getting upside down on the backstretch. He was unable to finish the race and was credited with a 20 th-place result.

"We were out of race cars so we had to go pick up a new one to get ready for this weekend," he said. "Unfortunately, we missed Sunday's All Star race, but we've regrouped now and have some equipment ready to go for this weekend."
