The STARS Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Ready to Rumble at The Legendary Ponderosa Speedway on May 2

Junction City, KY-April 28- The second year STARS Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will make their first ever appearance at The Legendary Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY this Friday night, May 2 for the Spring Into Spring 40.

New track promoter John Bradshaw and his team are ready for their first big race event, after a successful opening night two weeks ago at the 31 year old facility located just minuted from historic Danville, KY. Mother nature was the winner at “The Pond” this past Friday evening, forcing the race action to have to be cancelled.

The STARS BoB gang began their 2003 season last Saturday night at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY with 50 entries from six states and Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN took his first ever STARS BoB win.

The program on Friday night will consist of a full program of time trials, heats, consies and the Spring Into Spring 40 for the STARS Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts. Also on the racing card will be UMP Modifieds, Sportsman, and Chevettes.

Pit gates open at 4:00, with main gates opening at 5:00. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:45, with hot laps set for 7:00. Time trials are set for 7:30, with racing to follow immediately around 8:00. Adult general admission is $17, children age 7 to 12 is $8, with children under age 7 free with a paid adult.
