Starting Line Up for Sprint Cars

Is there anybody out there that can explain how Tommy ended up in the dash on sat nite. He timed in 11th and ran 3rd in his heat, how does that put you in the dash, much less on the front row.

The fastest 8 qualifiers were locked into the dash upon qualifying out of their heat. Half of the top 8 did not qualify out of their heat allowing Joey, Robbie, and Tommy to make the dash according to next in line of qualifying. Tommy drew last since he was the last to make it into the dash and it just so happened that the only remaining pill was the number 1. Luck of the stars! But 100% legit. Hope that helps

Correct me if I'm wrong here. They took the top 4 finishers in their heat races and those guys were locked into the A. Out of those 16 the top 8 in qualifying made the dash. So if things played out right you could have 4 dash guys come from the same heat if some of the faster qualifiers didn't make top 4 in their heats. Then they drew for positions for the dash line up.

I was glad they qualified, but how the dash was set up was confusing and I didn't care much for it. Oh well.. It was one of the best queen's royales to date in my book. I seen lee dunn walkin around in the pits. Someone shouldve threw him in a car Saturday night he knows how to get around sfcr.

He got a number 1 in the redraw, but he didn't have a number 1 in the initial draw. If it wasn't for the redraw he would have had a lot harder time winning the feature.

To add to the way the feature was lined up, the top 4 rows were lined up by the finish of the dash. The entire rest of the field was lined up by their qualifing time, regardless of where they finished their heat or B-main. In my opinion, I didn't agree with that. I don't feel that the B-main transfers should start in front of the guys who transfered out of their heats. What good did it do the guys to run the crap out of their cars to win the heat when they could have settled for 4th in the heat and still started in the back of the main? I think positions 9-16 should have been the cars who transfered out of their heat who did not make the dash and be lined up by qualifing times. Positions 17-20 should have been the transfers from the B-main. That's just my opinion!

What a great night of racing! We had 44 sprints in the pits and I would say there is not 1 person on here that would have bet we would have had that many. Thank You Don and Jeff for getting the word out to the car owners and drivers, it sure worked! I love how they had to run hard in their heats to make the Dash or A. It's the same way at the Outlaw shows and it worked here as well. The people complaining about time must never get out much, a bunch of us went to the LOS 360 Nats and left at 1:30 AM without ever seeing the A. Thank's again Jacksonville and Farmington for getting together and putting on 2 GREAT SHOWS!:)

Kind of makes you wonder, how Brent drawed the first or second row 8 weeks in a row too!

I do the pill draw for the mods every week and can assure you it is 100% legit! Some drivers just have better luck at drawing than others. You are entitled to your opinion, but when you get on here and make accusations suggesting that I cheated in some way for anyone, you cross the line. Complain all you want about other things, that is what you do best, but don't make false accusations you know nothing about.

I feel the same way....Also Dickerman (57D) won his heat but had to go to the b main (i believe)....which i dont understand cause they usually take the top 4 to the main...o well...all in all it was an AWESOME show...Til next year....everyone have a good off season

Dickerman didn't win his heat, he won the C and earned a transfer spot to the B.

Any time bud! It was well worth it and all the drivers and owners thank you for making the tow to these 2 races! This was a weekend to remember for sure. Now its time to make the season of 2010 a season to remember! ;)

I know for a fact that the pill draw is 100% legit! I have stood over there many times and there is nothing fishy going on! Jeff, thank you for doing the pill draw on OUR OWN TIME and getting NOTHING in return. Well I guess you do get something......some grief from a few people LOL ;)

Don't get me wrong, I agree that the racing action was great! It was some of the best racing they have had all year and I LOVE seeing all of the guys from out of town come in and try to challenge our weekly racers. I've said it for years, that SFCR has some of the best racers of anywhere in the country. I don't have a problem with qualifying, just think it could use some tweaking. I had a great time, enjoyed the racing and seeing all my friends again. Hopefully next year can be just as enjoyable as this one. Thanks to Jeff and Don for all your hard work to make the whole weekend a great success!!

Thanks RaceChick! It was my pleasure and I look forward to doing it again in 2010. Maybe get a little earlier start though ;):D

Two Tracks

Are SFCR and Jacksonville going to try to get together on the two races next year? Without the rainout in Jacksonville, the Queens Royal would not have gotten the talent that it did. Kory #5 showed up thinking the the turnout would be lower like last year and that he might race his way into the main. We should have just stayed in the stands.....awesome cars there Saturday. The little 305 just couldn't quite cut it. :) Great shows!

On your first question, could be more than just the last weekend that they hook up ;) For a 305 in Kory's car I think he does great! Get a bigger motor in that car and look out! I have been very impressed by him on how well he does with just a 305 under the hood. As far as staying home that night. I'm glad you guys chose to come out and race. The more seat time the better Kory will get. It was a great weekend with Morgan County and SFCR going back to back! Very stacked fields at both shows! Good luck to you guys in 2010!

Two Tracks

Good deal! It's a great thing for the two tracks and for the drivers. I think one thing that helped Kory get up to speed this year was the ability to run Fredericktown on Friday and SFCR on Saturday. One night a week is just not enough to get up to speed.
