I heard there was a big wreck in the steel block race! What happend and is everybody o.k.?

The way I seen it was.....
The leaders (Isaac & Emling) checked up, that caused Pursell to check up. Jolly got into Pursell (Jolly tried to get it stoped in time, it was a racing deal) & turned Eddie into the front stretch wall. Thats when the rest of the field started piling-up. Chad Burks was driving one of Kreke's cars, he ended up on his lid. Total'd out Kreke's car. Wiggs car got torn up pretty good as well as a few others. Everyone was OK!

The front row checked up and it was a chain reaction. The car behind Chad nailed him in the left rear hard, breaking the axle tube, bending the axle, and starting the car on its way over. There really wasn't anything Chad could do to save it.

We're not worried about the car. Cars can be put back together. We're just happy that everyone involved in the crash, especially Chad, was okay.

U2 caused it all he drove under and picked up the rearend of 85 and pushed him down the front streight away and into the wall and go sideways starting a chain reaction.

Chad went to Good Sam for neck x-rays everything is okay. He is a little sore today. Chad, his family, & crew would like to thank everyone who was so supportive last night. All the prayers, calls, and thoughts have meant so much. The racing community always so impressive when families need support. Chad will be ready to race next weekend. Thanks again!!

So was Krekes car the only one that was hurt badly? Maybe Ed Purcells also.. And also.. Is this Ed Purcell the dad or son?

I think Wiggs' car was pretty tore up too. I don't think he saw it coming. He lost a nose and radiator for sure.

fastfrankiefan,
My car is tore up a little bit, but fixable. It all was a bad deal and it is a shame for The Kreke Team. I am glad nobody got hurt it could of been worse. I hope Chad is feeling alright that whole race team are good people.

And I am the son, Dad didn't like going in circles. Would I happen to know you from the Corner Pocket, if you are who I think you are.

well mr. aint-right I see how you got your name ,not knowing what the hell your talking about ... I did get into the back of the 85 car the caution before but I did not crash him .. then on the restart of the next caution I jumped the burm coming to the start and when I cought up to Ed he said he had to check up and when he did I seen I was going to hit him in the rear so I tried going to the outside to miss him but he had the same idea and I got into his quarterpanel and let off trying not to wreck him but I my bumper hooked his and turned us both..I talked to Ed during the red flag and seemed to understand and he even said that he had to check up .Don't get me wrong I not casting the blaim on anybody but me because it was a racing deal not "I pushed him down the front streightaway " I AM REAL SORRY TO ALL THE DRIVERS AND CREW PEOPLE AND FAMILIES THAT WERE INVOLVED IN THE WRECK ..I DO NOT DRIVE THAT WAY.. and I have talked to CHAD and he is sore but ok and I'm glad nobody else was hurt .. SORRY AGAIN

I agree with Sean. No ones is really to blame. No reason to apologize.
Crashes like this that happen on the straights always cause the most damaged and sometimes they can't be helped. The track was extremely fast and you guys were running only inches apart. Glad to see Chad and the rest of you guys never got seriously hurt.
