Steve Francis finishes 7th at the Show Me 100

Mopar and Valvoline driver follows up with 2nd place finish at West Liberty Speedway

(Ashland, KY) World of Outlaw Late Model Series Dirty Dozen member, Steve Francis and Moring Motorsports combined dirt late model talents this past weekend to produce 2 top-10 and 1 top-5 finishes in two events rounding out the Memorial Day weekend race festivities.

Francis and Moring Motorsports started the weekend at the 12th annual $38,000 to win Show Me 100 at West Plains (MO) Speedway where Francis rocketed his Mopar powered Gary Stanton engine to post the second fastest qualifying. Francis successfully transferred into the 100 lap show and brought the #15 Mopar and Valvoline sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers Dodge Intrepid across the checkered flags in 7th place.

Following the Show Me 100 (May 30), Francis and Moring Motorsports traveled to Dubuque (IA) Speedway for an unsanctioned $6,000 to win event, which was canceled to do inclement weather.

On Memorial Day (May 31), Francis and Moring Motorsports returned to West Liberty (IA) Speedway for a 50 lap World Dirt Racing League PolyDome Super Series event. Francis scored a win in the 6th heat along with a dash win to cross the stripes in 2nd place, his season best WDRL finish.

Steve will take this week off from dirt late model competition. Francis’ next event will be the $100,000 to win, Dream at Eldora (OH) Speedway, June 11-12.

The Steve Francis and Moring Motorsports duo have combined to score 5 top-5 and 6 top-10 finishes in their last six events together, which includes one win, World of Outlaws Late Model Series, Eagle Speedway
