Francis follows up with 5th place finish at Farley Speedway

(Ashland, KY) Steve Francis put the Valvoline and Mopar colors back in victory lane on May 14th when the three time Renegade DirtCar Series champion wheeled the Moring Motorsports Mopar and Valvoline sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers Rocket Dodge to a first place finish at Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, NE for the 60-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-main event.

This is Francis’ second World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory of the season with the first victory coming at Volusia Speedway Park. Francis now has five wins this season.

“I am thrilled to give Mopar, Valvoline, and Moring Motorsports another win this season,” said Steve on his fifth win of 2004. “We made the right step up decisions for our Valvoline Dodge, and it paid off with a win.”

Following his victory at Eagle Raceway, Steve picked up his 21st top-5 finish of the season on May 15th at Farley Speedway for the 50-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-main event.

“This was a great points weekend for us,” commented Francis. “We had a good car both nights, and we are staying consistent in the WoO championship chase. My crew in Ashland and Moring’s team gives me good machines to race with and that makes it a lot easier to go out and race when you have well prepared equipment,” concluded Steve.

Steve will be back in the Moring Motorsports Valvoline and Mopar sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers Dodge this weekend (May 20-22) at Outlaw Motor Speedway for the $20,000 to win 100 lap main event. Francis will use this race as an opportunity to test and tune for the return visit to the Oklahoma track for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series event on July 16.
