Steve Francis Racing World of Outlaws Late Model Series Volunteer Speedway Review

(Ashland, KY) Steve Francis rolled out his Valvoline and Mopar sponsored Action Auto Mart/Freeport Recyclers Rocket Dodge Intrepid at the high-speed dirt oval of Volunteer Speedway on March 27 for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series 60-lap $10,000 to win A-main event. Francis’ struggled during round seven of the WoO Late Model Series sanctioned event and finished off the A-main feature in 13th place.

“We struggled during qualifying, but the #15 Rocket Dodge came around during the feature,” commented Steve on his 13th place finish at Volunteer Speedway on March 27th. “This was not the best effort we have had this season, but those nights are going to happen,” concluded Francis.

Steve is currently 5th in WoO Late Model Series championship point standings, 28 points behind leader, Dale McDowell. Francis has three top-5 and four top-10 finishes in the first seven WoO Late Model Series events with one series win coming at Volusia Speedway Park for the series inaugural event.

The Kentucky Colonel and the rest the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be back in outlaw action on April 16th and 17th for two events at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, TX, located outside of Dallas/Ft.Worth, TX.
