Steve Francis World of Outlaws Late Model Series Lernerville Speedway and Hagerstown Speedway Preview
(Ashland, KY) Three time STARS Renegade DirtCar Series champion, Steve Francis will be back on the track in his Mopar and Valvoline sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers and Action Auto Mart Dodge this weekend for two World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned events at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA and Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD.
The April 23rd World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Lernerville Speedway will be the first of two visits for Francis during the 2004 season and his career first trip around the 4/10 clay track.
“We have never raced at Lernerville Speedway, so it should be exciting,” states Francis, who has scored four victories thus far this season.
Hagerstown Speedway will play host to the April 24th World of Outlaws Late Model Series event and will also be the first of two visits for Francis during the 2004 season.
“We have had a lot of success at Hagerstown over the years, and I always look forward to returning there to race,” concluded Francis.
Francis has an impressive history at Hagerstown Speedway throughout his 21 year racing career. The last time the Mopar and Valvoline driver visited the ½ mile clay bullring was during the 2003 season in national sanctioned competition when Steve scored 4th and 5th place finishes.
Steve is currently 4th in World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship point standing, 66 points out of first place with one win, 4 top-5 and 5 top-10 finishes along with 7 preliminary event wins in the first nine events
