(Ashland, KY) Steve Francis, driving the #15 Moring Motorsports supported Mopar/Valvoline/Freeport Recycling Centers Rocket Chassis Dodge Intrepid R/T, scored 3rd and 21st place finishes at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, TX during rounds 8 and 9 of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series tour.
Francis put the #15 Gary Stanton powered Dodge in 3rd place for the April 16th A-main event after taking a win in the fourth heat race and finished out the weekend with a 21st place finish for the April 17th A-main event and a win in the third heat race.
“We had a very good car Friday night, but on Saturday, we broke a power steering pump,” states Steve. “We moved up one spot in the point standings, so overall, it was a good weekend,” concluded Francis.
Francis moves to 4th place for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship point standings with one win, 4 top-5 and 5 top-10 finishes along with 7 preliminary event wins in the first nine events.
Steve and his Valvoline and Mopar crew will be back in World of Outlaws Late Model Series racing this weekend at Lernerville Speedway (April 23) and Hagerstown Speedway (April 24).
